To keep it short - I am looking to get my first real road bike. Trying to steer away from vintage based on previous post's advice. Thoughts on this for $350? Appears to be in good shape from a guy who didn't ride it much.

Hello all, will keep it short. I am buying my first road bike, and want advice about if this one is a good place to start? It is used from a reputable seller in my area. He is asking $500. I truly don't know anything about road bikes, so be honest with me! (For reference, I bike around 10 miles at a time on my commuter, and am just looking for an upgrade to get into cycling on a budget).
He says the wheels are very nice, but again, I don't know about brands and such. According to the website, it is exactly my size. Frame is 58 cm, and I am 6'1.
