Buying genuine accessories from India

Im looking at buying accessories from my bike directly from India as there is a huge price difference between getting them from RE India and RE in my country.

Has anyone had any experience of doing this? I’ve also noticed eBay has people listing official accessories but I wonder if this is too risky.

First Bullet 650 in Australia!

As soon as I heard the bullet was coming to ‘straya I got my local dealer to secure one from the first batch of bullets coming into the country.

Potentially a bit too soon as I got denied insurance from many companies because “this bike doesn’t exist”!!

Safe to say I’m very happy with it. It’s stunning and a beautiful continuation of the longest continuous running production motorcycle.

Picture of me taking it out to the CBD last night.

Royal Enfield Test Rides Unavailable

I’ve been trying to get a test ride booked on a RE Classic 650 but have had multiple places tell me that the floor stock is sale stock so can’t be test ridden. I’m yet to find somewhere that will actually let me ride one. I won’t name the businesses because everyone I’ve spoken to has been really friendly, helpful and very happy to answer all my questions so I’m wondering if I’m expecting too much from a shop that it ant a specific brand dealership.

Is this normal in Victoria? I realise that we don’t have a specific RE dealership but I would have thought you’d have the chance to ride something before spending 12K on it.

If anyone has had a test ride on one recently I’d really appreciate knowing where.

Podcast appearances post KF

Just wondering if people could link to or mention any shows the boys have done post KF for those who wish to listen and celebrate. I hope people have reached out to talk to them.

Differences in Aus conditions to England.

Looking for advice as I grew up riding a 125 cruiser around England and well over a decade later I’m about to do my test and get back on the bike in Australia. I’m living in Melbourne and just want something classic that will be easy to get around on and on in a long ride once every few months.

I was looking at a RE Classic 350/650 or the RE Shotgun640 as I just want something simple and fuel efficient, I’m not bothered about going fast or getting my knee down just enjoying the ride. I thought it might be worth posting to see if there’s anyone who has gone from riding in England to riding in Australia and has found that there’s many differences to bear in mind. I imagine there are lots that you wouldn’t think about until you do it, so thought I’d reach out.

Any advice welcome, cheers in advance.
