What are yall using for hard case storage?

2026 Yamaha Grizzly 700 xt-r

Looking for a lockable hard case rear storage box for the back rack, wondering what solutions people have come up with that doesn't cost a Pelican case?

I've seen the OEM rear box, but trying to get a little more storage space, but a comparable Pelican case would cost over $500.

Take the loss of space with the yama case, lose the money on a pelican, or have yall found a better solution?

Favorite Accessories? Grizzly 700

Picked up a 26 Grizzly 700 as my first atv. Will be using it for hunting, trails, and little bits of work around the house. Made the switch from dirtbikes after 23 years of them.

Wondering what people would say is and/or isn't worth getting as add ons? Consider getting the hand warmers for the colder months. What about rear cargo/storage?

Trying to decide between a Yamaha Grizzly, Kodiak, or a Can Am Outlander

I'm a larger dude at 6'5 265. Riding experience has been 450 dirtbikes since I was 16 till 25, moved to UTVs due to a broken leg. Switched back to a dirtbike in 2022 but officially sold that last week after my riding buddy broke his leg. Looking to pick up an ATV to still trail ride with friends and his kid who are on dirtbikes, but I'm also wanting it for hunting and a little work around the property. Every once and a while might need a 2nd person on the atv if taking someone in to help pack out.

Hunting will be deer and elk, riding will keep to the official trails through hills and woods. Can get pretty tight some times. Hunting buddy is on a Can am outlander 1000 and the other on a 650.

I could get an Outlander Max XT 700 or a Grizzly EPS Camo for about the same price, OR a Kodiak 700 EPS XT-R or an Outlander Xt 700 for 1000 less.

Trying to weigh pros and cons, looking for advice from those who've been riding ATVs as It will be my first.

*Edit

Follow up is that I prefer to do my own maintenance and keep the machine a long time. Both Yamaha and Can Am I am confident in longevity and maintaining.

Looking for advice on lengthening wake windows 5.5 month old

5.5 months old

Schedule has been 2/2.5/2.5/3 with 1 hour naps where we almost always have to cap the nap. Up at 7am bed at 8pm. Been sleep trained since about 4 months via Ferber. Was falling asleep on naps and bed time in minutes if not seconds.

Last 3 days he is struggling to go to bed. Tonight he took 37 minutes, only checkins we gave him where when he was getting his arms or legs between the bars too much (this dude rolls around sooo much in the crib).

Wondering if we need to take away some nap time to add some wake time? If so, looking for recommendations on where to take and give.

Negative sleep association to sleep sack? Plus schedule check.

Looking for a schedule check, and wondering if the sleep sack association can be improved. Also wondering guidance to reduce or eliminate night feeds.

When it comes to naps and bed time, as soon as the sleep sack is put on, the grumpiness starts hard, sometimes can build to hard crying as well. Thinking maybe he knows bed/nap is coming so he burns extra energy?

Little man is 5 months next week. Had a horribly uncomfortable start at life and we where stuck with contact naps/sleep until about 4 months. Figured out sleep with the Ferber Method and he sleeps so much better now. We are at 3 naps capped at 3 hours in the day as best as we can, 2/2.5/2.5/3 Waking on average round 630/7ish, bed time aims for 8. Down to waking twice a night to feed at 1 and 5. Breast milk only, feeds with mom in the morning and evening/night, 4 oz bottles with dad during the day after each nap. Any more food during the day he spits up.

Wondering about how to keep him happier/less negative about his sleep sack. Never could swaddle before rolling as he absolutely hated it. Been using the sleep sack for all sleep since he sleep trained in the crib. We keep the house at 74 to make sure he is comfy as well.

When it comes to naps and bed time, we stick to the schedule pretty well and he is right tired for his naps and night time. If anything the last 20 minutes before a nap take special attention to keep him from getting the grumps as well as before bed time takes quite a bit. Nap routine we are finishing a book, change, sleep sack, crib with white noise and dark room. He will be out within 5 minutes once he finds a comfy spot, usually on his stomach but sometimes on his side. (been rolling both ways since 3 months). Night time is feed, then joins us for dinner where he is trying new flavors of home made puree (doctor approved), then we move to a bath, walk around for a bit to burn time/keep happy. Closer to 745 its change, sleep sack, bed time book and song, and alternating mom/dad lay him down for the night. He will do the same, rolling round to get comfy and be out cold in 5 or 10 minutes.

Crib is in parents' room, dad's side of the bed about 6 feet away. Consider moving him to his room soon.

4.5 month old waking up more at night

Looking for some insight or just a sanity check for what we've got as first time parents.

First time parents to a 4.5 month old boy. His start was honestly horrible until about 3 months where he refused to sleep unless in arm. Then we where able to get him sleeping in our bedside bassinet for a few hours until he refused even that at 4 months. Which brings us to here.

At 4 months, we decided to go with Ferber sleep training because he would only sleep in dad's arms. If mom held, then he expects to eat.

First week of Ferber went really well with baby, first night was a rough start, but then slept through the night, got progressively better till he fell asleep on the 4th night in less than a minute. We do a bedtime routine of eat 30 minutes before, then diaper change, into a sleep sack, sit down and read bedtime book, then mom and dad sing the bedtime song. From there we alternate who does it, but we go in the bedroom which is blacked out, sound machine on (white noise, we leave it on all night and use for naps), walk for 5 minutes, sit down for 8 minutes, then into the crib and exit the room.

This 2nd week it has reverted where he fusses longer to fall asleep. I believe this is in part because he rolls himself around so much, so much so he is doing 360s in the crib. He will get himself comfy finally and fall asleep on his side or belly, but its taking 10-20 minutes when last week it was taking 1-5 minutes. We started laying him down on his side now instead of his back because he is immediately trying to roll since he figured out he can. First week he would sleep 7pm till about 3-4 am and feed from mom, then continue sleep till 7ish. But now these past few days its been waking at 12, then again at 3, again at 5 or 6.

Daytime schedule we try to be "up" at 7am, but he has been waking at 6 some days and refuses to go back down. 1st and 3rd naps have moved to in the crib, 2nd nap is usually in a rolling bassinet while I go on a walk. First wake window is up 1.5-2.5 hours, nap max 2 hours, wake 2, nap 30-60 minutes, wake 2-2.5, nap 30 minutes, wake till start of bedtime routine at 630.

His naps get shorter as the day goes usually, but he will crap nap his first sometimes and make it up in his 2nd nap.

Just trying to figure out why he is waking up so much at night now when it was going well at first. He gets 4oz bottles of breast milk after every nap during the day. He gets as much as he wants before bedtime, but usually limited because he will just burp it back up/is still full from his last bottle. Should we be pushing bed time later? I'd think so, but he usually gets so fussy as it gets close with major sleepy signs. i moved him to 3 day naps since he started being able to connect into a 2 hour nap in the mid day.

Recommendations to automate?

Working to put in whole lawn irrigation, trenching and setting all the sprinklers. My current power to this 240v 1hp irrigation pump is turned off via this breaker. 3 wire feed to it, no white neutral wire. Using rainbird valves that could be turned on/off manually, but I'd love to get everything on timers instead.

Anyone with experience who could recommend a solution to get both the pump and the valves on a timer together instead of being hand run every time?
