Immich Server stopped working, will not redeploy on Portainer

I'm still very new to the self hosted world, so please pardon me if my vocabulary isn't quite right.

A couple of weeks ago I deployed an Immich server using the instructions for Docker Compose. It worked well for a while, but then last week I was suddenly unable to connect to it. (I'm using a Cloudflare Tunnel to connect my network)

Luckily, I haven't lost any data (photos) since they are still backed up on Google Drive.

After a bit of poking around in Portainer and Docker, I thought the best move might be to remove the Stack and Containers from Docker and re-deploy them using Portainer (which is how my other apps are now running).

I'm using the Docker Compose and .env files from the Immich github for Portainer, but the immich_server container won't connect. Docker creates a Network for Immich, but the server doesn't seem to see it.

In the logs, the error message I get reads:

------------

Error: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND database     at GetAddrInfoReqWrap.onlookupall [as oncomplete] (node:dns:122:26) {   errno: -3008,   code: 'ENOTFOUND',   syscall: 'getaddrinfo',   hostname: 'database' }

On Mac OS, where does Vaultwarden store its data?

So, I jumped into the Self Hosting pool this weekend. After researching for a while, I now have Immich, Navidrome, and Vaultwarden up and running on a Mac Mini. Using Docker and Portainer to manage the system.

I'm still working through some kinks, but I think I made one mistake before deploying Vaultwarden.

I followed the advice from this article, but I didn't pay close enough attention to where the data is being stored. In retrospect, I should have created directories and told VW to send the data there for easy backup.

For reference, this is the line of code in my currently deployed stack:

https://preview.redd.it/jsw22wp3ydhh1.png?width=694&format=png&auto=webp&s=65c629df0682b3069ac72c10c053b0e3d458f315

That seems to have dropped the data in a hidden folder somewhere, but digging through the MacOS Library/Application Support folders I can't find it anywhere.

So now I have two questions.

Does anyone know exactly where this volume/directory would be found on my drive?

Can I edit the stack to re-direct VW and place the data in a directory of my choosing?

Thanks for helping out a new guy!

[UPDATE] Ok, with help from below (and much Google-Fu) I was able to put the puzzle pieces together and get the information I need!

-From the Volume tab in Docker Desktop I gained direct access to the files I needed copies of.

-Changing the filepath under the first "volumes:" prompt created a new set of data in the folder of my choosing.

Once I got that down, all I had to do was copy the backups into the new data folder and everything was set.

Most Entertaining Player

Brett Loftis and Drake Toll had an interesting conversation during the rain delay tonight. They were each putting up their choices for MVP, Best Pitchers etc.

Which made me think that in this league we should also have MEP. Most Entertaining Player.

If it was an award, who are your candidates?

Wolf certainly has a claim, and I imagine people would name Klena (not my favorite, but to each his own.)

But I've got a nominee out of left field. I nominate Denae Benites.

If you've ever seen the Coconuts in person it's almost impossible not to watch as she dances and interacts with the crowd in front of the dugout. Much like Bret Helton, she's always engaged with the fans and the action on the field.

(And please don't interpret this as something creepy. I'm old enough to be the woman's father. I just appreciate the energy.)

Tip Drill to Hat?

Brett Sanchez said something interesting during his Mic'd Up tonight in Nashville.

He thinks the now familiar combo of Tip Drill into a second player's hat should only count as one trick play.

I agree. The Tip takes a lot of momentum off the ball, and the hat catch at that point is pretty much automatic. (I'm sure someone missed it once, but it's still a 95% success rate.)

It's worth Jesse taking a look during the off-season to maybe make a change for next year. What does the crowd think?

Small parks are better

IMO - from the fan's perspective - the minor league and college games are much more fun than the MLB stadiums.

I've attended both, and always have a great time. But the smaller parks are closer to the action, food is usually cheaper, and better interaction with the players and cast.

With less people the pre and post show parties are more fun, with less competition to meet players. In one evening I got to meet virtually everyone on both teams, plus Drake and AJ, with no pressure to keep the line moving or anything like that. (Not that the players would ever brush someone aside, but you know that feeling when there's a ton of people behind you?)

Las Vegas is currently building a major league park on the Strip and I hope the Party Animals never play there. I know the MLB parks are great for the players (and the financial team) but the smaller parks are more Fans First.

Drake Toll stepped up in Indianapolis

After watching the first Clowns headliner last night in Indianapolis, I just had to say that Drake took his already great performance as a game caller to the next level.

First, someone made the call that the half hour pre-game show should stand on its own with no booth commentary. This was the right move. (Honestly, I wish they could do it for every game but I get why it's not the norm.)

During the game, the Voice of the Party Animals called a great game, as he always does. But he also recognized that last night the game was only part of the show. He knew the night was bigger than that and gave it the weight it deserved.

Drake - if you read this subreddit - you did an awesome job last night. Keep up the great work and Party On!

Just wanted to post a Thank You to the Lineage community.

Between the main website, the unofficial archive of previous builds, and posts in this sub I was able to breathe new life in my Nexus 7 2013 this weekend!

It had sat on a shelf for a long time when I ran across it a while back, and decided it would still make a great e-book reader/flight companion. Sadly, the stock Android would no longer log into Google or Kindle, due to 2FA requirements.

A Google search led me to Lineage, and down the rabbit hole I went.

It's never going to be top of the line, and I suspect trying to use Netflix or Disney+ is a non-starter. But Readera is working just fine, and though I haven't tested it, VLC has never let me down.

Anyway, thanks again for all you do!

At Thursday's Coconuts vs PA game in Vegas, my wife and I handed out keychains she made with the team logos and a dedication to my mom. She loved Banana Ball and I had plans to take her to a game in Salt Lake City, except that she passed away a few weeks ago. We just wanted her to be there in spirit with us.

We gave keychains to players, fans, and some of the staff, including AJ. I told him the story and he was touched.

Later, during the pre-show party, we noticed that he had clipped the keychain to his belt. He wore it there all night. That meant so much to me.

Another example of how Fans First isn't just an empty slogan.
