The ballpark for Banana Bowl I will be revealed tomorrow. I hope the Texas Tailgaters win.
Banana Ball App
Anyone know if they plan on making an app to track everything(stats, standings, upcoming games)? Something like the NHL. I dont follow other sports.
No crying in baseball? Think Again! Loco Coconuts, Jordan Brewer, meets the family of his tissue donor.
Over the weekend, the Twins Stadium welcomed Banana Ball; bringing much more than entertainment. Jordan Brewer, of the Loco Coconuts, had the opportunity to meet the family of the tissue donor that kept him in the game.
"He's the only reason why I'm out here playing..." said Jordan.
Six years ago, he suffered a cartilage tear in his knee and thought his baseball career was over. That is, until donated tissue changed everything.
When Benjamin Anderson passed away that same year, he left behind a gift that would give Jordan a second chance to continue playing. The cartilage transplant allowed him to continue playing the game he loves, honoring Benjamin's legacy with every pitch.
Check out the emotional moment Jordan finally had the chance to meet Ben’s family 🧡💙
Banana ball w 5 & 3 yo
We have tickets for banana ball and are taking our 3 & 5 yos. The pre-game starts at 3:30 and the games supposed to end 8:30 which is a long time for my littles. For those who hace gone to a game with little ones would you recommend:
- Arriving early at 3:30 to enjoy the pregame stuff and possibly leaving mid game
- Skipping the pregame stuff and watching the whole game
Any other suggestions/advice?
Quick question about ticket transfers
I got tickets for the game next week for the family. Everyone has their own phone and etc. On the app can I transfer each just using email or does everyone need an account on the app? I just want to make sure everyone can add their ticket to thier wallet app.
Bananaball on “The Pat McAfee Show”
This clip is mainly about Coach Rac’s insane catch this weekend. But Andy Cosgrove does get a shoutout as “Shirtless Guy.” Seems about right.
It does provoke some thoughtful (though kind of crude) conversation. Pat truly seems to love Bananaball and everything about it but also meets it where it is. He respects the skills of the players but understands entertainment is a large chunk of it. AJ seems amused by it but does not really seem to take it for more than a novelty. Ty tried to go into baseball purist mode but does acknowledge he has waffled on the sport’s legitimacy.
They do mention next years’s impending lockout and what that may look like for MLB players and Bananaball. Jesse keeps “plus-ing” the experience, so who knows. If the lockout goes for as long as predicted, there maybe some athletes who are more than guest batters/defensive pieces. And it makes ya wonder what team rosters will look like for 2027 (especially considering city selection and a draft would be before the December 1 cutoff date for a MLB/Players’ Association possible agreement).
Finally Vandalism is appropriate. Happy Obama appreciation day everyone.
Maybe this is really dumb but I invented a new stat that adds defensive trick play value to OPS. I call it PPP for on-base (P)lus slugging (P)lus trick (P)lays.
I was looking at Banana Ball stats and I noticed there was no inclusion of Trick Plays into offensive rate calculations which I feel is a travesty since trick plays do translate into points so there is value in recording trick play outs
So the percent of trick play outs is the number of trick play outs/games*24. I picked 24 because I can't find anywhere if TP Outs in the 9th inning count since they cant count towards game points and most games do not actually have 27 outs like boring lame baseball. In the future I would like to pick a more accurate number like total # of outs by the team while that player is feilding.
Oh and I picked the name because OPT is lame sounding and OPSPTP is funny how long it is but I think PPP is funny so I went with that.

What a beautiful night for some banana ball 🥰
Banana Ball Experts
Hey all, I signed up for the Savannah Bananas lottery and yesterday they sent me an email for Banana Ball tickets for the Playoffs in October at Grayson Stadium. I’ve never been to a Banana Ball game before, but my nephew loves it so I got some tickets. The confirmation email has some conflicting information…it says general admission tickets for $35 include food and drink, but further down it says food and drink are not included so I’m a little confused. Are food and drink included even if the Savannah Bananas aren’t playing?
Bananas as an away team?
Just curious if any of the other away teams are having their line ups announced alongside the home team, or doing a whole song and dance before the game even starts? Just the Bananas?
First game- different arrival times for group?
So I finally managed to score tickets in the lottery this year and we are going to the Bananas Vs Coconuts in Minneapolis tonight. The tricky part is I'm the one with the tickets, but my sister and niece want to go early for the pregame stuff but I'm also bringing our parents who don't want to go until later. Is it possible for me to go early with my sister and then my parents arrive later and I meet them at the entrance of the plaza? Or does it scan all the tickets at one time?
