Projection Mapping in Avenue?

Hey wizards, just a quick question. I currently have Avenue that ive been using for gigs/house parties that simply need an hdmi connection. Super simple. My next project is i wanna project my visuals onto a suspended hoop (pvc piping/drape setup) and mask it in a circle shape. Doing some research, it seems to me that this is one of the differences between Avenue and Arena in terms of: output mask shapes and the like. Am I correct in now i must upgrade to Arena? Or am I missing something in Avenue and I already have the pieces to projection map onto a circular screen?

My brother built this arbor for a friend's wedding. We're thinking of using it afterwards as a frame for a projector screen setup (like a portal). This is our first time doing a project like this. I have some questions..

What are the best ways to secure a projector screen here? What shape of projector screen would be best to maintain tautness and a flat area? (Circle or septagon?) I imagine a method of small bungee cords with gromits placed around the circumference (akin to a trampoline). Maybe drilling in small hooks around the inside of the frame works too?

Any tips or advice are welcome!! Thanks a plenty
