Backend for communication

So I get that PGP encryption should be used everywhere but how are you sending messages? Like are websites just using basic https over tor for transport? Do you jump to a third party service simplex for communication? How about talking to a mate, how/where do you talk if you need it to be private/secure? Or does none of this matter in light of PGP?

Another first mic post

So I'm looking for a cardiod(or a variant) mic for gaming/discord with a budget of about 100 buckaroos. I tend to want a dynamic mic because of my loud ass environment but they seem to be cheaper and a little more rare than condenser mics so I'm not sure? I feel like I should avoid brands like y'know and maono because of their cheap build quality even if they do get reccomend right? similar idea with stuff like the razer and hyperx since they're popular with streamers but are "gaming mics" and anything market towards gamers is usually a cheaper build with a price boosted from brand name and RGB or whatever. So I feel something like the Samsung Q2U or Shur SM58 since if possible I'd like to avoid buying a mic anytime in the future but these are like stage mics instead of desk mics and idk how important body shape is. XLR vs USB isn't a crazy big deal but I also don't know how expensive of a setup you need to bring the full power out of the mic. Overall, are my assessment/assumption correct and is there anything that would be better than a Shur SM58 or Samsung Q2U in terms of build and audio quality in the price point? Oh and how expensive of a setup assuming XLR? Sorry I know y'all get this exact post every day I've tried to get as much info as possible reading others
