I’m genuinely curious about the American perspective on Quebec: How much do people in the States actually know about our distinct culture?

Do they recognize Quebec as its own unique North American entity with its own history, media, and social norms, or are we mostly viewed as a 'mini-France' that somehow ended up on this side of the Atlantic?

I’d love to know if the average American distinguishes between the two, or if we’re just seen through the lens of a shared language.
