Someone stole my dog’s collar airtag… and brought it to Algeria.

For context, I live in Pointe-Aux-Trembles, in Montreal. About two weeks ago, I was checking on my different airtags and I notice something I thought was a glitch. My dog’s airtag which is attached to his collar was in Oum el Bouaghi, Algeria.

I found the collar in my dog’s basket without the ring where the airtag attached to it. And now it’s been two weeks its airtag is moving and walking in Algeria. I reported it lost in the app, but why? Why steal an used tag and keep walking with it.

I just had changed the battery in it. So we’ll see if this person is just vacationing there and coming back or studying aboard for the semester… hopyfully the airtag will come back to Montreal…
