Amica....Erie...Farmers - Opinions

Home + Auto + Umbrella. Looking at Amica, Erie and Farmers. Any opinions, experiences with Amica, Erie and Farmers? Not switching because of rates. Concerned more with claims service if I ever need to file a claim. Farmers would be a local agent. Erie would be a local independent and Amica is over the phone. Thanks

Lala

IMO has made the biggest game move so far. The Tool Shed are now just tools thanks to her nominees. Winning the wall comp was a big achievement. And how she handled Chuck when he called her out for her rookie moves and what people said behind her back, was well done. He looked stunned and at a loss for words (maybe this was traditional show editing that created this impression). Is she being manipulated? Maybe but so what. Did Kamu throw the wall comp? I think no, but given his MMA experience, strength and balance, I was surprised to see him drop. Her nominee picks were spot on. Maybe like the rest of the world, she knows D&D have powers. Will she win....I don't think so. Maybe after this week she'll get viewer votes. It was nice to see at her age, to give some of the other players who were getting steam rolled, a break and a chance to regroup.

America Votes - Time Capsule - So Far

I’m thinking about the America Votes twist on Big Brother. While the concept is fun, the voting so far doesn't seem like a level playing field.

The first three votes have all gone to returning players Angela, Dee and Devin. They entered the game with built-in fan bases and years of TV exposure. While brand new houseguests have barely had enough screen time for viewers to get to know them. And how much screen time they get is a CBS decision not a player decision.

How are fans supposed to fairly vote for new players when they haven't had the same opportunity to connect with the audience? It feels like the twist puts the rest of the house at a disadvantage from the very beginning. Here we are at the fourth vote and it’s the first time a NEW player has a chance of winning.

I won’t get into the fact that two of the contestants have a prior friendship with one another (Dee and Devin). This isn’t an all-star season where everyone has knowledge of each other. And I’ll ignore the “randomness” of the powers or punishments that have been won so far. How ironic D&D both have won strong powers.

This season, the odds are stacked against new players IMO. Dee and Devin have guaranteed final three chances and at least one if not both will be in the final three. So I'll just tune in to see which of the remaining house guests has the chance to sit next to potentially both of them.

How Do I Wake Up To 700 Steps?

I've gone through the reset process. I've tried dominant and non-non-dominanat settings, and Google support has been helpful. But, how is it I wake up, look at my Health app and see 700+/- steps? The device clearly is tracking sleep. So how is it, it doesn't say hmmmm they are asleep so there's no steps to track right now.

SD Card Port ResMed 11

My machine does not automatically read my sd card. If it is not put in precisely, i have to either keep inserting it or reboot the machine. The sd card works great once the machine recognizes it. And I can take the sd card out and put it into the sd card reader on my desktop, and it fires up immediately with no problems. So I'm thinking it is not the card.

Oscar 2.0.1 Error Window

This started to pop up after I installed 2.0.1. In task manager there is no other Oscar process running, just 2.0.1. Anyone have a fix for this?

400% AHI Spike Looking For Advice

CPAP user since 1/1/25. When I tested for CPAP in late 2024 my AHI was 10. Beginning 6/28/26 and for the past 12 days, my CPAP numbers have gone up 400% . I am on no new meds, I have not changed my sleep position(s), I recently changed my mask, headset and air tube, I have no existing health conditions (had recent physical, blood work and ECG). Called my online seller (Lofta) they checked my machine diagnostics and said the machine is okay. FYI my 6/29 through 7/10 leak rates are elevated due to one really bad night with leaks.

Including my 6/28 thru 7/10 results versus 1/1 thru 6/27

I'm hesitant to accept that nightly CPAP results can change so much so quickly without a underlying reason for the increase.

If anyone has experienced this, or has a suggestion, I would really appreciate it. Thank you

Stopped Alcohol - Increased My AHI

Stopped alcohol 6 days ago. For the past week my average AHI went from 2.11 (past six months) to 7.04 (past 7 days). Also my average central apneas went from .97 (past six months) to 4.6 (past 7 days). BTW my current settings are pretty basic - 8.2 minimum, 14 maximum and 3 EPR. I've read where adjusting the EPR is something to try, but I want to wait until I have more of a base before I make adjustments. I was never a heavy drinker, and I realize my body is adjusting to a new sleep pattern. I'm hopeful things will settle down. Anyone experience this if they cut back or quit alcohol? Is this a temporary adjusting phase of CPAP? Thanks

Switching From Tresiba To Lantus

Type 2 20+++ year diabetic. My prescription Part D drug plan recently dropped Tresiba. When I run out of Tresiba, I will be going to Lantus. I understand one works out of your system quicker than the other. Has anyone else made this change? Do you have any tips? I am old as dirt, my recent A1c with Tresiba/Novolog is 6.1. If you've made this switch or have knowledge of it, I'd like to hear what you have. I had a really good workflow going and I want to make this transition as easy as I can. Thank you.

Last Stand Shards

Are the shards you get from playing Last Stand, reflective of what one should expect if you buy shards? Other than buying enough shards to get a tank.

I appreciate they are free for grinding. But I'd be pretty bummed out if I was paying money for these.

Surge Protector For AC And Furnace - ICM517

I'm looking at a surge protector for my outdoor AC unit and indoor furnace. They are top of the line Bryant Evolution models, installed five years ago. I already have a Interrmatic IG2240-IMSK whole house surge protector installed in a separate control panel adjacent to my circuit breaker box. From what I understand this Intermatic is pretty top of the line. Is adding a outdoor surge protector (ICM 517) to my AC/Furnace redundant? My HVAC guy says if I want to go this route to use the ICM brand. What would you recommend? Thank you

Negotiate Driveway Cost

I got a quote of $3100 for a 840+ sf driveway. They remove the existing driveway. Add and compact the stone base....install a compacted 3" asphalt driveway and bevel the sides to 45 degrees. I spoke to my neighbors and found 3 who are interested. If we went in as a package of four, all in one cul-de-sac...same sized driveways. What do you think would be a realistic package price for 4 jobs all at the same location? Appreciate any comments.

Prior to my inguinal hernia surgery, my anesthesiologist gave me a cup of a liquid to drink that prevents nausea. Insurance says not covered. Billed $180 because I was not "admitted". My surgery was outpatient. Self administered drugs without being "admitted" are considered medications you can get from a pharmacy, at a cheaper price, that you can take yourself. Welcome to the US healthcare system. My advice, if you are given this option, have the doc administer the meds to you. Then it is not self administered.
