Need to find this bakery

Hi everyone! This is very random, but I figured I would try my luck on this subreddit. So, a few months ago a Chicago cop got my dad some baked goods from bakery. Which I’m pretty sure is in the city, since it was a Chicago cop that got it. My dad has been craving these sweets, but when he brought the box home there was no bakery name. I will describe what was in the box. Plain white box that contained about a dozen of these fried pastries. The pastry looked almost like a large croissant? They weren’t big and fluffy, more flat. They were definitely fried because they had that fried dough flavor, and the bottom of the box had the oil circles aligning with the pastry in the box lol. They had a light glaze on top and had the slightest crisp, but wouldn’t describe them as crispy lol. They tasted good even after a few days. The flavor was a mix between a cinnamon bun and a honey bun. To me it was more home made honey bun, than cinnamon bun. The dough was not dense like a cronut, it was almost like a brioche dough? I know this is vague, but I’ll read what responses I get lol! Also, it wasn’t like a small crescent shape it was like a big crescent shape, practically a full circle! Thanks!

Fourth of July is the worst

Fourth of July is the worst. People being stupid, and letting fireworks off in densely populated areas. People shooting fireworks out of their car while driving down streets. Some communities letting fireworks off 1 week before and days after the fourth. We also hope for rain on the fourth, and where we are it is thunder-storming, and yet I still hear people popping fireworks. I understand for kids it may seem fun and magical, but the older I have gotten the more I hate it each year. Loud and annoying.

Vyx voyix corp

Hello!

About a month ago it was posted that khanna had purchased shares of vyx. I looked into it, saw it was a good entry price, and executed some shares. I am up 10% on my position. Anyone else purchase shares of this company lol?

Going on vacation having guilt

Alright,

I am 32. I have 11,626 in a brokerage account. 70,000 in a HYSA. 27,000 in a Roth IRA. I already maxed the Roth IRA early in the year. I have approximately 292,000 in a 401k. The 401k was maxed about a month ago for the year. I have no bills and no kids and no expenses other than my car insurance and food and personal items and fun things I like to do. Anyway, I booked a two week vacation for the fall. I am looking at a hotel and the cost would be about 16,000. I feel like I can do it and be fine, but on the other hand I feel guilty like I shouldn’t. What’s everyone’s opinion? YOLO?
