Escape plan for UK wildfires

This heatwave in the UK is starting fires everywhere. After 19 houses went up in flames not far from where I live, I decided on the IKEA bag as our best chance of escaping from the first floor of our house (see silly video here https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcEVxp\_IMk9/?igsh=eDVmZ3M3YXplZDZr)

Does anyone have any other ideas other than getting a proper rescue sling?

I'm lucky as Bo is only 27kg (but still growing) and I know many OES are so much heavier!

Which area of social work is most rewarding and which is most stressful

My daughter has finished AYSE and is deciding which area would be best for her.

Is there an obvious difference in areas? Like LAC, front door, CAMHS? Or does it differ massively with each LA?

She definitely wants to be in children's and not adults.

Thanks

Foxtail grass seed removal

Have many people had to have them removed from their dogs? Did you claim through insurance or cover it yourselves?

They are everywhere at the moment and it stresses me out so much. I check my dog multiple times a day. But I think I may have missed one as felt a tiny lump between his paw pads and can see what looks like an entry point. Going to the vets first thing tomorrow.

Would you use a sustainable, digital-only photo stand at Glasto?

Hey everyone!

A few friends (who are professional photographers) and I are brainstorming a potential stall concept for Glastonbury, and we’d love some honest feedback from seasoned festival-goers.

The idea is a creative photo stand where you can get really high-quality, cool festival photos taken by pros.

To fit the festival's green ethos, our business model is entirely circular and low-impact:

The Setup: Built entirely out of second-hand, upcycled, and recycled materials.

The Props: Collaborating with other independent stalls on-site to showcase their hats, upcycled jackets, and accessories (and directing people to their stalls if they love the look).

The Footprint: 100% digital delivery to your phone (zero physical print waste), and gifting a native wildflower seed bomb with every purchase to take home and plant.

We want it to be a fun, creative spot to capture memories without adding to the festival's waste.

Do you think this is something people would queue up for? Would you use it, or do you prefer just sticking to your own phone photos?

Also, if anyone has experience trading in the Green Fields or markets, we’d love to hear your thoughts on logistics! Cheers!

Flexicare or gadget insurance for the X5?

I've just bought an X5. I'm trying to decide whether the Insta360 Flexicare plan or insurance like Arma Karma is better?

With Arma Karma I can get accidental damage and loss cover and after 4 months the excess reduces to 10% of the X5 value so £49 excess.
