Tuesday is (still) here

So we are 99% sure I have the cyclospora parasite (just waiting for confirmation) and Tuesday arrived about a week ago when I first starting having symptoms. I have my livestock set up so I could theoretically go about 1-2 days without having to do anything other than put everyone away at night. However this parasite has wiped me out and moving around makes symptoms worse and making attending to the livestock near impossible some nights. We have chickens, geese, turkeys, ducks and quail. It's quite a lot at the moment because I'm rearing the last of the babies before fall.

How do you prep for long term illness/incapacitation? Things like smaller maintenance tasks have fallen by the wayside as the priority is making sure everyone has their basic needs met, but now there is a large stack of small tasks (i.e. refresh bedding, coop clean outs, rain/storm debris pick up, switching out duck pools, sex the quails, etc). And I don't even have the antibiotics yet, so I imagine this will continue for at least another week. Some days I feel a little better and I can do a few small things, but I'm still so behind.

My boyfriend can't help as he's busy with work this week and the family is already helping by watching the baby. Other than do what I can, is there anyway to prep for these type of things?

Filipino recipes?

I was recently diagnosed with PMOS and I have hashimotos. My docs recommended starting with a mediterranean diet while I wait to see a nutritionist as this is the first step in seeing if a diet change helps with the PMOS symptoms. However, I'm filipino and I probably eat things like adobo, pancit, sigsig 3-4 times a week. I'm a big meat eater - especially the red meats and having a hard time coming to terms with the mediterranean diet.

Does anyone know any filipino recipes that adhere to this diet or can be easily tweaked to make it more in line? I get everything in moderation, but compared to my normal diet it seems like a total 180

Help a Newb

I had my first rando flair up about 6 days ago and I’m sure you’re all familiar with the steroid z pack, increased otc histamines, seeing gp, allergist, bloodwork etc.

How is everyone advocating for themselves? For work? At doctors? My boss keeps asking if it’s necessary for me to take so much time for doctors appointments/bloodwork. I think mine is related to allergies because it always flares when I’m outside longer than 10 seconds and my area is going through a crazy high pollen count. He asks why teleworking is necessary…meanwhile any visible skin is getting turned into hive central. My home has air filters and I can minimize being outside at home…since I’m not going anywhere.

Also is an allergist the best person to see? It’s 100% hives no doubt about it. I’m out of my depth as I’m also dealing with other health issues, a toddler and trying not lose my job and so dang tired from all the freaking histimines.

Sorry I’m just about to lose it and feel so overwhelmed, none tired, itchy and genuinely afraid this is my life forever
