I've spent the last year trying to read through a rough timeline of events of Ancient Greece / Rome and I'm currently up to the end of Augustus' reign. Up until now there's always been a book that felt like the obvious choice to read next but I'm at a bit of a loss now.

I wouldn't mind something more overarching on the early Roman Empire rather than a specific biography, but any recommendations would be fantastic!

At first I was looking at Dynasty: The Rise and Fall of the House of Caesar by Tom Holland but I'm not that interested in going back into Augustus. His similar book Pax seems like an option but I've heard mixed opinions on his dramatization of events.

• Caesar by Goldsworthy
• Cleopatra by Schiff

Has anyone noticed a shift in the last few weeks in wait times in casual brawl? It felt like any time of day I could be in a match within 30 seconds, but lately I've been lucky if it's less than a minute.
