Looking to buy a used car (€20k-€30k budget) in Lisbon/Cascais area. Need advice on platforms, fuel type, and reliability.

Hi everyone,
I’m currently living in the Lisbon/Cascais/Sintra area and looking to buy a reliable second-hand car. My budget is between \*\*€20,000 and €30,000\*\*. Since I plan to sell it in a few years, \*\*low depreciation (good resale value)\*\* is a major priority for me.
I’ve started looking around, but as an expat, I could really use some local insight. I have a few specific questions:
1 \*\*Where to buy?\*\* I’ve seen listings on \*\*OLX\*\* and \*\*Carmine\*\*, but I’m a bit skeptical. Are these platforms safe, or should I avoid private sellers altogether? Is \*\*Standvirtual\*\* a better option? Also, do you recommend any specific, trustworthy professional dealerships ("Stands") in or around Lisbon?
2 \*\*Fuel Type & EVs:\*\* What fuel type makes the most sense here? I’ve heard diesel is popular, but given the shifting regulations, is petrol or a hybrid a safer bet for future resale? What about fully electric vehicles (EVs)? Is the charging infrastructure in Lisbon, Cascais, and Sintra good enough for an EV if I don't have a private garage?
3 \*\*What models to look for?\*\* Within my €20k-€30k budget, which brands/models hold their value best in the Portuguese market? (e.g., Toyota, VW, BMW, Mercedes, or Volvos like the V60?)
4 \*\*Red Flags & Legalities:\*\* What are the absolute "must-checks" when buying a car here? I know about checking the DUA (Documento Único Automóvel) and the IUC (annual car tax). Is there a reliable way to check the car’s accident and mileage history online (like CarVertical)?
Would love to hear your experiences, recommendations, and any tips on avoiding scams.
Obrigado/Thanks in advance

Need Advice from Lean Healthcare Researchers: Cost Efficiency vs Waste Reduction

I'm working on a lean healthcare / medical supply chain research framework and received feedback that I may need to reconsider whether these two dimensions should both remain in the model:
• Cost Efficiency
• Waste Reduction
The challenge is that they seem strongly interconnected in lean systems. One could argue that waste reduction is simply a mechanism for achieving cost efficiency.
However, in lean healthcare and supply chain literature, they are often still treated as separate dimensions.
So from a theoretical/research perspective:
Would you keep both dimensions separately in a lean healthcare framework, or would you remove one because of conceptual overlap?
Also, if anyone knows strong academic papers that clearly distinguish Cost Efficiency from Waste Reduction in lean healthcare or regulated supply chains, I'd really appreciate recommendations.

Career Advice Needed: Project Management vs Product Management

Hey everyone,
I’m thinking about starting a career in project management and I’d really appreciate some honest advice from people working in Europe.
I want to take a course and move into this field, but I’m not sure what the current job market is like in Europe. Is there still good demand for Project Managers? Or is Product Management a better path right now?
I also wanted to ask:
Is it better to become a Project Manager or a Product Manager in today’s market?
Which certification is more valuable in Europe: PRINCE2 or PMP?
Which specialization/path would you personally recommend for someone starting from zero?
Are there any courses or bootcamps you’d recommend?
Is it realistic to find remote work after learning?
How hard is it to get the first job in this field?
I don’t have real project experience yet — are there any programs/courses that include hands-on projects I can add to my resume/portfolio?
Do you think 6 months is enough to learn and become job-ready if I study seriously?
Any advice, roadmap suggestions, mistakes to avoid, or personal experiences would really help me.
Thanks a lot in advance!
