Possible for a N4/N3 in one year?

tldr; how realistic is it to get to N4/N3 level in Japanese by May 2027? Even if it is realistic, how much will I have to study? estimated how much vocabulary do I need to know?

I've always wanted to learn a language, but I never really had the discipline to do it, but I figured out there was an AP Japanese exam, and it would actually sit me down to study if I had an exam coming up.

That being said, would it be possible to read N3/N4 level by May 2027? I speak Chinese fluently (took AP Chinese this year too) and so I think understanding Kanji meaning will be easy for me. I've attempted studying Japanese before and have quitted. I still have a very foundational understanding of Japanese grammar

I've been studying for the last week because I was interested in this idea, but really how realistic is it that I will get a 4 or a 5 on the exam? I searched it up and apparently it is around N3/N4 level?

I will likely study Japanese for it anyway and take the exam as a guidance for me to remain disciplined, I just want insight to see if it is realistic I will reach N4 by next May (when the AP exams are)

I study using the Tae Kim's guide to grammar and anki for vocabulary (Kaishi 1.5k). Will this be enough to bring me to at least N4?

I live in a very wealthy community but my dads' income is ~35k and rent takes up 99% of it. For context, I moved to a more expensive area for high school because my parents wanted me to have good education compared to the last place I lived in.

Will QuestBridge take this context into account when evaluating my application? And to what extent will it matter? Will they perceive me more negatively since I live in a rich community anyway??

My sister also got into college through QuestBridge, will this in any way impact my application?
