It's sad.

I just want to get this out of my chest. Im sad. If you have judgmental comment pls put it elsewhere. Not today.

So im 42F, 2 kids teen and tween, have steady job and income, live near city and forest. I have options on what to do.

I have 13 female friends all with enough means to socialise. Nobody wanna go to the city or to the forest to walk.

Either they just want me to host them, their husbands and kids, or they wanna go to playground. Their kids are all above 6 years old.

They dont wanna grab coffee or lunch/dinner. Im lucky if that happens 1x a year.

One woman she sent me link to a nice resto 30min away, I said lets go next week? She said maybe on her birthday july 2027.

I have 3 single ladies friends. Even harder to meet them.

And I promise you, I am probably the only mother around me who dont always talk about my kids.

My other close friend, she got a second dog and she never left her neighborhood anymore. Always refuse to go to the city (15min away from her).

When i was in university, I had 6 close male friends. We went out often, no drama. Just open the door and leave the house. Didn't always need to spend money.

I am frustrated of my real life friends.

Anyone relate?

She doesn't know yet

My 30f colleague who just got married, and maybe planning to have kids soon, just told me today that her mom (60ish) who is retired and moved to Spain, always had a reason to not visit her in Belgium, eventhough my colleague had visited her 3x and soon 4x this year.

The mom however, this year had been to 3-4 places inside and outside europe.

My colleague does not understand why her mom never wants to visit her.

Her mom seems to always have time to visit friends.

Cheapest way to give money to kids?

Asking in the context of inheritance tax, gifts/donations that dont draw attention, etc.

If I am a parent of adult children, and I want to give them my money but want to pay only minimum tax, what is the best way to do it?

Is it transferring ownership of a house?

Is it cash gift and if so, how much per transfer?

Is it physical cash money?

Is it buying them cars or big things like furnitures, or holidays?

Thanks.

Absent parents/grandparents, lets move on.

Im female, 42. Two kids aged 13 and 9. Live 10.000km away from my own parents and sending them money every month. My FIL lives 20min away and has a girlfriend since 7 years.all of them refused to help me with my kids even once a year.

I have not been away for 1 night, from my kids since they 2021. No date nights since 2021. Its 2026 now.

All of them are very, very good at making excuses, and ask why we dont visit anymore. They like to show the world that they are caring and present grandparents but it's US who do not visit. Yea yea.

I can write an 8 seasons drama about them, what they do and what they say. But im done being hurt for 13 years now. I quit them, ignore them a lot, not bothered by what they say, and feel less and less toward them. I just feel nothing.

in reddit I've seen so many hurt people in +/- same situation. Seriously, do move on. Make effort to move on. Dont worry about forgiving or whatever sht, just try to move on. Whenever u think about the issue and you get upset, just tell yourself: but i have moved on. You will feel better and better.

stop trying to fix it.

There is a gap between what we had wished for, and what the reality is. Acknowledge the gap, stop trying to close it, and just move on.

there are many many other things worth doing.

Relationships are TWO WAYS y'all.

I hope this reaches as many people as possible and help you to heal and move on.

peace.
