If you had the choice, would you pick up a brand new Komodo x or spend the extra $3,000 for the Raptor S35 that B&H is currently selling stock of? Does the Raptor S35 make sense if you’re not getting the VV sensor?

Hi everyone!
I am looking for some help regarding exposure, zebras, and the waveform on the FX6. I've been using this camera for about 6 months, and while editing some fishing footage the other day, found more noise than I'd like in my image and figured maybe I have been exposing wrong.

I've went down an absolute rabbit hole reading Allistair Chapman's documents regarding the FX6 and exposure, middle grey, zebras etc, but I still feel lost. I have a few questions below I am hoping people can help with. For context, I have been shooting with sgamut3.cine, monitoring and exposing based off a monitoring LUT that I use for my color grade in Resolve.

1. First, should I be monitoring my image with LUTs or just monitoring the s log 3 image? I realize the waveform changes based off having the LUT on/off. If I am monitoring with a LUT and basing exposure off that, how does that impact my final results?
2. Do folks recommend using sgamut3.cine?
3. Based on the above response, what are you setting your zebras at? Based on Allistair's work, it looks like you would need to set your zebras differently depending what color space you are monitoring.
4. Are you exposing to the right with the FX6?

hi everyone, I’m looking at putting a little canoe together to go look for carp with a fly rod this summer. I’ve fished the delta on the Columbia, but apart from that, haven’t tried it much. Does anyone have tips on some lakes to try out? Not looking for specific spots, but would appreciate pointing me in the right direction. I am looking at exploring the lakes at Sauvies, and bybee / smith as well. Cheers!
