Should I renew Hulett’s subterranean treatment in South Florida?

A year ago, I discovered mud tubes in my home, and hired Hulett. They installed outdoor in-ground stations around my home, and also used bait boxes inside my home until there was no more activity in the bait boxes or otherwise. The tech told me it appeared we were dealing with multiple colonies under the house, which appeared to have been taken care of. The treatment took a few months. I haven’t seen any new mud tubes since. I just received a renewal notice in the mail, and wonder whether I should renew. The letter says their service agreement now includes protection against Formosan termites. I’m in South Florida, and have owned my home for 14 years. Should I renew?

Repayment options

46F with 3 outstanding loans with a balance totaling $21,500 and interest rates ranging from 5.41% to 6.41%. I have voluntarily resumed payments since last July of just over $600 a month. Still on SAVE, haven’t picked a new plan yet, although with my current income, I think my new payments will be around $800 on RAP.

While the balance is not high and I would like to pay them off as soon as possible, I also have been finally making decent progress investing and my retirement, after being the sole provider and a single parent for many years.

I’ve read about the student loan interest elimination act, and hope it passes and finally fixes the disaster that high student loan interest has created, but I don’t know what will come out of it.

I’m currently weighing (1) continuing to pay off my student loans as fast as possible (and then likely switching to RAP); with (2) trying to lower my interest rates to be able to make lower payments and invest more instead. The market has been booming so I’d like to keep investing as much as I can to hopefully retire one day (i’ve never had a 401(k) offered by an employer, so it’s all on me).

What’s the lowest interest rate I could secure for the loans? What are my options? Any need tips and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
