How the heck are you guys getting this valve cover out?

I wiggled and removed a bunch of bs for like a half an hour. it still drags on the harness on the passenger side too much to get it out. anyone got any tips on this? cbr954rr

What are you guys using to fasten your bar ends on without oem threaded weight inserts?

Hey guys, one of my weights broke from a low side by po on my 954. i ripped it out and the other side as well. what are you guys putting in your bars to fit bar end sliders without that weight piece. I’ve searched a little, but i’m not sure what size and pitch the fasteners are for the sliders just that they’re supposed to work with oem equipment. if anyone has links I would appreciate it a lot!

Question about bar ends

Hey guys the po of this bike low sided it and smacked the slider. I ordered some new sliders and began to take out the old hardware and the smaller piece came out with the slider. I saw the other sheared off piece inside the bar and didn’t realize it wasn’t the rest of the hardware for that slider. The new sliders I got are supposed to thread into this insert I think. What should I do, just buy new clip ons, or just this part and try to press it back in?

edit: I saw someone else using expansion style inserts for the sliders to bolt to. I’m used to that being on dirt bikes so it feels weird to me. also i’m removing weight from the bars, so will it handle differently if i don’t put the oem style inserts back in?

Hey guys I’ve never timed something in my life. just finished up changing out my shim to correct my valve spec. how does this look for timing? this is the rear cylinder under my butt. I believe this is right according to the manual but i’m scared to destroy the engine so i wanted to confirm before i finish putting it back together.

edit: another question

I know that i’m supposed to time it on the f for the crank, but how do I know if it’s the right F? i know it’s 360° from where you time the front but i didn’t time the front. currently it’s on F and the lobes are the outsides of the head horizontally.
