Albedo from Genshin Impact has always been one of my favorite characters and I've been wanting to do this cosplay for a long time. And I feel my photographer did a great job in capturing his character in these photos!

I'm also so happy with how my 3D printed sword, The Cinnabar Spindle, turned out. And even more so, his drawing pad which I made happen last minute!

At the end of the month I'll be wearing one of my favorite Genshin characters to my local anime con, Albedo!

Even though it's store bought (minus sword and props) I've had to add snaps to make sure it fits my frame better and hold any loose bits in place. I finished styling the wig today, and just had to do a final test run to make sure things look good and fit right.

I'm still super new to wig styling as this is only the second wig I've worked on. But, I'm pretty happy with how everything has turned out. Earlier I was going to go with a more spiky look on the back, but decided to go with a more fluffy look. Justice for Albedo's hair model!

I'll also be bringing his Cinnabar Spindle that I 3D printed, and mini Solar Isotomas to hand out at the con :)

Next step will be a small makeup test, and coloring my mustache. And I know people will comment, yes, I'm 40 years old and still cosplay 😅 I welcome the Unc comments haha.

When I first decided to wear Venti, I was extremely nervous. Thinking I was too old, not having a proper physique, and even having a mustache. But so many of you encouraged and supported me that I feel like I owe so much of my cosplay to this character 🍷

Its been a while, but I'll be bringing this back in the fall for my local Ren Faire.

An online discussion started from French Venti, then to his appearance being similar to the Pringles mascot, then to me making this for no particular reason.

Now I wonder what this chip flavor would taste like....

Recently, I went in for an eye exam, and it turns out that my prescription barely changed from last year. That being said, I'll still be getting new glasses but with the focus on cosplay!

Since I can't do contacts which frames do we think would look best for an Albedo cosplay? I'm thinking of basing the frames from HoyoFaire's 2025 art, but will still do his base outfit.

EDIT UPDATE: After an evening of loosening the screws, and using the paper method to manually level I now have an "almost" perfect bed.

Also as a bonus, Elegoo is mailing out a new heated bed assembly and hot end assembly at no cost. But, I can work with this until the new parts come in!

I feel like I've been running in circles with trying to fix a bed leveling issue this past weekend. I first starting seeing issues where a print was ruining a gyroid infill with the nozzle hitting into it. It seemed odd since I've had no problems printing since Dec.

I thought it was a Z Hop issue, so I changed my Z Hop from .4mm to 1mm, but the infill kept getting ruined. So my brain went to bed leveling.

I printed a full 1 layer sheet and found that parts of the print were too close, while the bottom and parts of the left were too far from the nozzle. After this, I decided to do a manual level with this tool that I printed a while ago: https://www.printables.com/model/1392124-centauri-carbon-cc2-bed-leveling-tool-updated

No matter how much I adjusted the four screws under the bed and Z Offset, the sheet would always show that it was too far at the bottom. What really concerned me was that the bed feels level at the four screws, but once I move the leveling tool towards the center it bottoms out showing that the center is higher than the corners.

I figured I'd place everything back to default. (tightened bed screws and ran all auto config (level, PID, Input Shaping) and ran multiple tests adjusting the Z Offset with no success.

I've sent an email to Elegoo, but I also wanted to check with the community to see if anyone else has experienced this issue.
