taco bell is setting me up
So I work at a Taco Bell in NJ which is owned by the summerwood corporation. My mom has stage 3 cancer in her stomach and I was 40 mins late one day because my mom fell and I had to help her up and get her taken care of first then I went to work. They flipped on me for not calling, well I'm sorry that my mom's health completely turned my mind off from calling first...then I get to work for a 9 hour shift and they tell me I can't have a break so I have to work the 9 hours nonstop. The next day I come in and they are trying to frame me for taking $5 out of a drawer. I have never stolen from a job in the 20 years I've been working. I did however get a $4 tip from a customer and if that's what they are trying to get rid of me for that is complete BS. I was told I was hired to be a manager with a higher pay which is the only reason I left my manager position at Burger King and now they are just making stuff up to get rid of me. They're making excuses as to why I'm not a manager yet saying I have to go to some training seminar and I have more management experience than any of their other employees. I am wondering if I need to get a lawyer because if they fire me they are literally damaging my well being because I'm trying to pay off a storage unit my abusive ex had. He moved his stuff out and forced me into a contract that he gets to move my son to Michigan. Now I am responsible for a unit he hasn't been paying for and now I owe them $500 or they are putting my entire life on auction. Including a beautiful desk my grandfather handcrafted for me. My 24 year old GM has no idea how to run a store and he's completely heartless to my situation. To top it off my current partner has a drug problem and I'm missing money due to him as well. My doctor put me on strong anti anxiety meds and the first day I went to work on them I starting nodding off because they are too strong so now I don't take them before work. I feel targeted by my manager for things that are not my fault and I seriously need advice.
