Hi, I'm curios to hear what people in this field and area think about this move. We are family of 4, (toddler and a baby) and want to try living somewhere that has different environment/ climate and mold issue since we did environmental consulting in NY/NJ area for 10+ years. I did mold assessments (and asbestos, lead, IAQ) in northeast (NYC for few years) and have the expertise in it. Wife and I both worked for corporate environmental consulting company, so we can do all the paperwork ourselves (rfq, proposals, reports etc etc).

We just opened the llc here but I prefer to do mold and air quality vs asbestos so thinking of moving to FL before business really starts. We just registered and created demo/draft website, all still in motion.

My research shows that Sarasota area has around 1 milion people and economy is doing well, same as FL in general. I would need to networks and connect with people since we only know few folks down there in the whole tampa bay area. We prefer Sarasota over Tampa.

I would appreciate any insights and information as well as personal thoughts.

P.s. making around 100k now in NJ and its tight, I believe finding a job and moving down and starting a little LLC can bring more than that within couple years, with some good amount of work (work smart and hard) lol :)
