Hi folks, I bought my first watch today. I love beautiful things, robust engineering, and wanted something understated for everyday corporate professional wear. I went with a Longines Master Collection with moon phase, which I like because it adds info about the world around me that I don’t get on my phone.

I have a 30-day exchange program provided I don’t wear it. So, it’s in the box. I’ve never bought a nice watch before. Can you guys tell me what I should be inspecting the piece for? I’m all about details, but I don’t have the experience or eye to know where to look and what to make sure is “right”. I would appreciate any and all suggestions.
