Mythic Sana Hotel Lisbon

Hello - trying to decide between Four Seasons Lisbon or the brand new Mythic Sana Hotel. The former offers entry to a new brand I’ve been wanting to try - almost did in Bangkok but went with Mandarin and didn’t regret it. But otherwise I’m unfamiliar with what makes them so desired and how specifically they go above and beyond, including whether the above and beyond is typically an upsell. I’d much rather have lovely or cute little memorable or trinkets gifted daily and rituals (like the fragrance ritual at Waldorf in Amsterdam and the daily gifts I got at Mandarin or Mandapa in Ubud) a things that I don’t ask for, they just appear. Mythic seems to offer this but I’ve not heard of Sana and it’s VERY new. I like the Mythic location much more but obviously the amenities are better at FS. Any insight or suggestions welcome.

Reasonable worry or drama queen?

Emirates on the A380 is a bucket list flight for me and I have a RT flight booked right now for late October returning late November on the JFK to Milan route. I was feeling pretty good about their recovery from the oil and Iran issues but then waking up to Kuwait airport being attacked in the blink of an eye and I cannot help but worry and worry and worry.

We are going for a medical procedure so it is not something we can risk delaying beyond the few day buffer we built in (optimally to have some fun and not deal with flight delays though). So I also have an AF flight out of Toronto booked for where I need to go but that just feels so meh, been there and done that. How is the war impacting folks decisions on flying this particular route given any incidents in Dubai will have downstream impacts to the JFK-MIL route and the plane for my exact flight wouldn’t leave until that day at 9am Dubai time, which doesn’t give a lot of time to figure things out. Thoughts, advice, words of reassurance or that I am overreacting or on point are all welcome. Thanks in advance.

Westin in Valencia, Spain

Interested in folks reviews or experience at the Westin in Valencia, Spain. Have been looking at Hospes Palau de la Mar too but could save significantly at Westin, and enjoy more benefits as a platinum member. But it’s a longer stay and I’m pretty bougie so interested to hear if this really is a five star property as advertised and how folks have experienced it.
