New cat, reactive dog. Help.

Hello, so today I found a kitten at my local dumpster and I immediately took it home and I really want to keep it, but I have a reactive dog who I know will try to attack it. Does anybody have any advice on how I can introduce them or get my dog not to be violent towards the kitten? Thanks. (also if you have any questions about the kitten, I plan to take it to a vet.)

my dog had found and eaten what we think was either a joint or edible at the park, and has been suffering from a THC overdose since 6 in the afternoon yesterday. When I noticed her symptoms, I immediately took her to the emergency vet, thinking she was having a seizure, but they assured us that it was just THC poisoning and that my dog seemed overall healthy. My dog, Parfait, acts young, however she is coming up on 15 years old and hasn’t been taking the weed well. She’s extremely lethargic and it’s now 1 in the afternoon the next day and she hasn’t been able to eat or drink. She wakes up if I attempt to wake her up/move her but besides that she spends all of her time sleeping. I’m very nervous and the vet already assured us that it would probably be fine but I just want some suggestions on what to do to ensure she is ok. I dont know if this helps but she is a jack Russell terrier (or parson we suspect because she is tall)
