Well, now i can get the post op Tag!

26M

I had my surgery about 23 hours ago. I had maybe, 30 Little stones, so If i didnt remove IT could be dangerous. I Have some pain, mainly from the gas, but with some pain meds and a Little bit of walking everything îs okay. I eat a soup and drink some water, im still in the hospital fortunetly until tomorrow at noon. I was scared because IT was my first surgery, but it is an easy procedure. Im also having a hiatal hernia, and for some reason in didnt get no acid reflux.

I will keep You updated for a week, to encourage some of y all. Regarding of symtopms, sometimes when i eat fatty i became nauseous, sometimes ill Have a constant pain in my right side abdomen like i had a spear impaled in me.

Right after surgery - i was kind of dizzy. The pain was there but not too shaby. After maybe 6 hours i could pee, but i strugled at first. Right now i dont Have any trouble pering.

Day one - a Little bit more pain TODAY, from the GAS. The shoulder pain îs there but intermitent. I had some trouble getting up and sometimes breathing îs hard because of GAS. Not a stool until now.

Edit day one - getting up and down is horrendeous. The hospital Bed îts a Little taller. The GAS made IT so hard to breathe and the pain in my shoulders and back îs Something bad.

Day two - feeling a lot better than day one. I walked 4500 steps, pain is low and i didnt need any pill for pain. I started to eat more, still no stool. I also have a pain in my left leg, i got scared about dvt but is functional pain, not only calf. Hope i will sleep a lot better tonight. Also, im off the hospital

Hi there, you stonie people!

Hi guys! I have gallbladders stones. My doctor told me that i need to remove my gall. Symptom wise, i haven t had major attacks and the one i had were minimal, but i also dont want do take my toll with this and have a major attack. Im decided to take it out but i wanted an opinion based on your experiences. I know that afterwards you ll have to stick to a strict diet and avoid a lot of physical strain ( for a few weeks at least), but now i want to ask you this: when its better to have the surgey? In the last week of august i will have a family trip and i know it can be hard reagarding of diet, but i can temper myself and eat as clean as i can from the menus of the resort. The problem is that i want to swim, to play with my little nephew and have a good time generally. If in 2 weeks from now i will have the surgery, will be plausible to have this kind of activities and enjoy (with temper) some food? Or should i risk it until after the trip? I know that bodies are different, but i was wandering what were your recoveries like? Also, if you have a few pointers on the recovery and pre op, im happy to listen to them! Thank you!

Brain fog, mental unclarity

Hi guys! Recently, ive been struggleing with some kind of brain fog. Sometimes, i fell like my brain just disconnects. Its like a mental fatigue. I want to change this so im asking you all for advices: if you had this, how did you overcome it? What are the habits that you recommand and what changes? Thank you !

Edit: to be more specific, im not the healthiest one. I have vitamin D and folic acid deficiency, but im taking supliments for 2 months almost! Regarding physical activity, im trying to walk 10k + steps a day and bike. I dont count macros, im trying to eat as much protein as i can. Regarding of sleep, this might be a bugger that cause this - i might sleep 7 to 9 hours, but sometimes i wake up for a few seconds and fell back asleep.

Rant

Hi there! I got diagnosed last december with a small hiatal hernia, gastritis and 2 inflamatory polyps on my esophagus (4 mm and 2 mm). Since then, my life has been a living hell on and off. I took nexium for 3 months, first month 80 mg and then 40 mg and to be honest, i felt worse on ppis than i did before. Since the diagnosis i started having symptoms which, honestly, i dont know if they are anxiety related or not. I had a feeling of air hunger, sometimes bloating, chest pain, epigastric pain rarely i had a tipical heartburn. I feel very anxious and angry, since im in my mid 20s and i have to deal with this bs. Im really thinking about getting surgery since i dont want to take ppi s forever and i want to feel normal again. My worst fear is getting barrets. I dont really know what to do rn
