Can you imagine if your immediate family looked like Mandy Moore, Milo Ventiniglia, Sterling K Brown and Justin Hartley? Each was unusually talented or special in some way. An incredible singer, a talented athlete, a literal movie star, a hero, a brilliant mind. She had many great qualities like compassion, humor, fortitude and loyalty but would always be out-shown. It would give me a massive chip on my shoulder too.
My daughter just turned three and she is very attachment to me. I have been home with her for three years, we cosleep, I did extended breastfeeding and I’m a big believer in cultivating healthy attachment.
I am starting a business and need her to be in the care of others for at least 15-20 hours a week.
We started a playgroup 6ish weeks ago with a former teacher, her two kids (18 month and 4) and my friends 2.5 year old. It was a tough transition; I tried being there and working and dropping her off and leaving and both were challenging. Instead of getting better, it got worse with her more clingy and refusing to leave my side.
The teacher informed us today that she is leaving and I need to figure something else out.
Really hoping for advice or the experience of someone who went through something similar. I’m too in the situation to have perspective.
