Hers is overpriced and a scam

TL;DR you’ll have to fight to get your money back, but it’s possible.

I’ve been getting semiglutide from hers since April 2025. In June, I sent them a message again (was not the first message about this, but one of many) about how I’ve been on a plateau for 6+ months. They recommended wegovy so I was like okay I guess. So then they send that to the doctor. A week or two later, I get a message from the doctor who said it’s not an option. I was like okay that’s fine I’ll just stick to the semiglutide.

Then I see a charge for $149 the next month. I message them and was like wtf is this. There response was it’s your membership fee. I said what membership fee? They said it’s the cost to talk to us. I was like since when? Apparently they decided they weren’t getting enough money from us with the medicine alone so they implemented another outrageous charge and a monthly one at that.

I kept going back and forth with a mixture of AI bots and patient support.

They said they absolutely CANNOT refund the $149 even though I think it’s completely unfair. They never told me about this — and current customers were GRANDFATHERED in, so they misled me by recommending I switch so that I would get stuck with this monthly charge on top of the medicine.

Anyway, it really pissed me off so I responded back citing my state’s statute regarding fraudulent misrepresentation by merchants and let them know that I’d be reporting them to the better business bureau if I didn’t get my money back.

I got sent a message immediately telling me they have processed a full return.

Don’t let these jerks take your money.

Hello my fellow caffeine addicts, my sister just recently gave me her nespresso vertuo next machine. I’d never purchased one because I worry about using those plastic disposable pods every single day. I’ve tried researching an eco friendly pod, such as compostable but it seems as if those are not made for the next brand. I’ve been looking at reusable pods and reusable lids, found some online that say are compatible with this brand but I saw some negative reviews, especially saying they don’t last long.

Does anyone have a history of good luck with an eco friendly alternative pod that I could use with this specific machine? Tia!
