Do not use FOR HERS!

I wanted to let everyone know of my experience using For Hers for Wegovy.

Very poor customer service. They sent the wrong dosage. And they won't fix the mistake. The support features they advertise are not available.

They are absolutely the worst company to deal with.

I found a telehealth provider that charges per visit. The prescription was sent to Amazon pharmacy.

It works much much much better than For Hers.

Save yourself a lot of time, money, and heartache by avoiding FOR HERS. That company is a scam.

Anyone start at a normal healthy weight?

So I’m a 29F I’m 5’4 and 135. I had a surgery about a month and a half ago and I’m healed up but I’ve been struggling with food since being post op. The food noise has been crazy and I’ve shot up 10 lbs. I’m usually pretty good at maintaining and losing weight naturally. In law school I ballooned up and gained 50+ lbs and was about 165-170 at heaviest and was able to slowly lose through proper diet and exercise but I’ve never been able to get back down to 115/120 like I was before. At this point, I want to just cancel the food noise and have a little push to get back down especially since post op my habits got all fucked up. They let me through the initial intake but I’m unsure if the video consult is worth my time or they’re likely to reject me even for micro dosing since I’m already at a healthy weight and I don’t want to waste the time. Has anyone had luck or is this a stupid idea and I should just get a personal trainer lol?

I think I've been injecting air

I have been on Semaglutide since beginning of February. I didn't realize that I'm supposed to tilt the vial to fill the shot when pulling the plunger back. I would put the needle in while the vial was upright and pointing the needle straight down, and pull it back. I did it just like it looks in the how-to video. The needle stopped reaching the liquid in the vial after a while.... so I think I've been injecting air this whole time.

I've never given myself a shot before and I am terrified when I have to get them at the doctor's. All of this was new to me even if it was obvious to everyone else. I watched the videos and read all the info but missed understanding about ensuring the needle was getting filled. I'm so irritated about this.

Worried if I did this it's going to cause health problems from injecting... air? Wasted my money... Explains why I felt like I had so much left over when I'd get to the end of the 28 days. Explains why I have seen zero results. Also worried because I dont know what my dose is or what dose I should resume with. And I don't want to waste more money.

Edit: step 2.1 is confusing to me. It says "draw air into your syringe to match the amount of medication you'll inject." and 2.2 "puncture the top of the vial and inject the air [into the vial]." I thought the injecting air into the vial would force liquid into the syringe.

Subscription cost

I feel duped. I thought it was $49 a month then $149 for each month’s Rx. I am on the pills. Now the subscription is $149 a month, so $300 a month? I am starting 2nd month so we’ll see how it goes.

Wegovy microdosing

Im starting to take 4 mg every other day wegovy pill from hers tomorrow!!! I am so nervous to take it due to side effects. What has helped people reduce the side effects or helped subsided them? Do they last all day? How many times taking the pill do you not feel them anymore? Any help without scaring me would be much appreciated!

Trying to switch to pomegranate.

I was really hopeful to switch to Pomegranate from Hers because of the cost difference and the ability to try Triz , I was told it was super easy and all I need is a picture of my current prescription. Well a few things. If I say I'm a new patient I need a live cam chat thing with a provider which is automatically a NO from me because the whole reason I'm doing telehealth is not to talk to a person face to face. If I say I do have a current prescription I need to not only add my ID (its expired and most places won't accept it for some reason ??? ), my Hers prescription AND they want me to upload current lab work. Something that Hers doesn't require and something i don't currently have. So how exactly are you guys doing this? Cause this medication is LIFE CHANGING for me. Its not only the food noise and weight loss. Its the noise for all the other bad things (alcohol, drugs, what have you) my fatty liver and pancreas no longer being an issue and able to do the things there supposed to do. Its having a balanced gut and normal BMs for the first time EVER. Its not thinking about binging on the snacks in the kitchen until I throw up just because they're available. Seriously at this point its not weight loss(although I do need to lose a bit more) its every other thing that this medication does. Also if it matters at all I gain weight almost exclusively in my abdomen, my face, neck and hands/wrists don't look like im overweight even at my highest. Its almost a pregnancy type fat distribution. So its a fear for me that these companies are going to deny me just based on seeing my face and hands/wrists. If not Pomegranate then where else?? ** I am agoraphobic, I do not and have not left my home more than a handful of times since 2018. TIA for any help or advice.

HERS still gives me the lowest Wegovy dose....

I recently joined FOR HERS for the wegovy pen. First month, .25. Did absolutely nothing for me. I was told that I would be bumped up to .50 the second month.

I just got the shipment and it's .25.

I'm so angry.

I was told it was going to be bumped up, but then it wasn't.

Anyone have similar experiences?

I messaged HERS. I've heard nothing. It feels like I'm dealing with a robot instead human beings.

Help! My scale jumped by ten pounds in two days!?

So I’ve been steadily losing since December (SW210) and finally made it down to 176lbs last week! I weigh myself on the same scale at the medical facility I work at. I maintained that weight for a few days but when I suddenly did my morning weight and weighed 186! I thought maybe it was a fluke so I used a different scale and nope! Still 186! I don’t know what happened but I’m devastated by a literal overnight 10 pound weight gain?? Got weighed at the doctors today and that also shows 186. I regularly test the scale at work with different weights we have in the office and it’s been right so it’s not the scales.

Does anyone know what it could be?

Shot losing its effectiveness

Within 1 week of taking my first shot food noise was already down and I could feel the effects. I lost 7lbs in about 8 weeks. I increased my dosage slower than what I was supposed to because it was working so well.

After I got my prescription refill it's like I'm not taking anything. I hit my max dosage 2 weeks ago and food noise is back with a vengeance and I'm not feeling full like I was before.

I checked an old bottle and I think it was the same pharmacy so I don't know if it would be a different formula. Has anyone else had this happen?

Does the $149/mo plan include the cost of medicine (GLP-1 pill)?

Hi, I am looking at reactivating my hers account to try the GLP 1 pill, but the last time I got a prescription it was for one of the kits and it was a flat fee. The page said the monthly fee includes the prescription and dosage changes, but doesn't say anything about the cost of medicine itself. Does the $149 include the meds, or is it a $149 subscription and month and then you still have to pay for the pills?

Warning- Topiramate caused UTI’s

I started kit 3 in November 2025. The first month was okay. I lost weight immediately so no problem there. I began getting UTI’s in December and have figured out to be the meds. I should’ve immediately gone to this sub but I didn’t.

I have been married for 19 years, never once having a UTI. At first I immediately thought it was my spouse because he recently started his weight loss journey too and I thought it must be something he’s taking that’s causing it. We changed to fragrance free laundry products, already have been using fragrance free hygiene products. I wipe front to back, we shower after sex, and he’s clean down there, we have always taken all precautions because Ive heard so many horror stories from friends.

I would get on antibiotics and stop using Topiramate and Brupopian, then after finishing antibiotics I’d jump back onto the meds T and B. We both did several different testings, and blood work throughout April and all negative of bacteria, E. coli or other UTI causes.

It finally clicked after the 2nd day back on meds late April that the UTI symptoms started again and we hadn’t had any sex since March. I finally researched and was shocked to see that this med cause UTI’s! This is awful and I feel so dumb that I didn’t put it together earlier. I’m even too afraid to take Brupopian again for fear that could also be a cause, although online articles say it doesn’t.

I discontinued all use, ordered a uti flush kit from Uqora because I didn’t want another round of antibiotics after taking them every month for 4 months. I’m waiting to finish the flush kit to test again to make sure all is still negative, we still have not had sex until I fully figure this out even though the uti symptoms are completely gone.

I just can’t believe these meds are in majority of the kits and i can only wonder how many more are suffering not realizing they could be the cause of a uti.

Kit 1 - modified dosing

I’m wondering if anyone has modified the dosing of kit 1, so you’re taking less than recommended? For context, I didn’t have much weight to lose (SW 135, GW 120) but really wanted help with food noise. I’m very active and overall healthy, but I’ve hovered around 130 for years and always felt and looked my best closer to 120 but struggled to get there on my own. I didn’t really think twice when they prescribed me kit 1. I’ve come to realize (through this subreddit) you’re basically prescribed kit 1 if you have no conditions or medications that interfere with the meds. What bothers me is that the dosage and titration schedule is the same no matter what your SW or the amount of weight you want to lose is. Immediately after starting the meds, I knew there was no way I could get to the full dose (I could just tell my body didn’t need more). Hers didn’t offer much support, so I decided myself to prolong everything. I took 1 Bupropion/day for at least 6 weeks, then added 1/2 Naltrexone EOD for 6 weeks, and just recently started doing 1/2 Naltrexone daily. I still haven’t even tried the Metformin and I’m like 3 months in. I reached out to Hers and they basically told me to do whatever dosage and titration I want if I’m going under the recommendation (I was hoping for a bit more guidance). I’m wondering if anyone else has modified their dosage, and has any tips for what they did? My CW is 125, so I’m definitely losing weight but I also got quite sick recently and could barely eat so I’m sure that’s part of it! I have had very few side effects, besides insomnia for the first week of Bupropion, so I am very happy about that.

A Cautionary Tale

I’ve labeled this a “vent” but this is honestly just a warning to those pursuing weight loss through Hers. This is just my experience, so please do your own research and take it all with a grain of salt.

I was on Hers for just under a year. It changed my quality of life and I felt better than I had about myself in years. I lost almost 60 pounds, and I felt I had a really healthy relationship with food again. It was really great until it wasn’t.

I made sure to take the medication as prescribed. I was careful to prioritize protein and not to under eat or consume a bunch of garbage. I was doing the compounded shots. At the end I was on 50 units.

I messaged providers constantly. I was afraid of being annoying, but I had a lot of questions throughout and I always made sure I was asking them. I was experiencing nausea and gastro issues, as well as profound fatigue. Anytime I wasn’t sure about a symptom or best practices, I made sure to reach out.

My time with Hers ended in October, but around August, my nausea skyrocketed. I would have these intense bouts of what felt like heartburn, that would grow and grow until it felt like I was having a cardiac event, and would always end in projectile vomiting. I was miserable and discontinued use. I went to the ER, and after bloodwork, I was told my liver was failing. I mean my numbers were off the charts. They didn’t even look like real results. The numbers were absurdly off the charts, and at that point I had been off the shots almost a month. I was told that they truly suspected that this was due to the compounded nature of the semaglutide and that there was never any real way to know what was happening at these compounding pharmacies. That many companies were “cutting corners”. I was told that compounded versions can alter how the drug is metabolized and its toxicity levels, and that the presence of contaminants may stress the liver further

You know those videos you see of surfers in the ocean oblivious that a giant shark is below them, and that they are so close with danger until they return to shore? That’s how I felt. The creepiest feeling to know I was playing with fire so closely.

With the help of my doctors, my liver is now considered fully recovered, but that took months.

To their credit, I reached out to Hers with this information and was refunded all of my money. So at least I didn’t pay 3k for liver failure.

My point is this: be knowledgeable about what you are taking, take it as prescribed, but ASK questions. Get BLOODWORK AND WORK WITH DOCTORS occasionally to make sure everything is in good shape. At the end of the day we have to advocate for ourselves, and be sure we aren’t just relying on an occasional charity a doctor we’ve never seen in person before. It simply isn’t enough precaution.

I’m not even saying I won’t try sema again! I probably will. It will just be monitored by doctors and will not be compounded. Which is cost prohibitive for me at this time.

That’s all. Be safe, guys!

Stopped at 4 weeks 😣

I’m currently on Kit 3 and been taking it diligently for 4 weeks but I cannot take the side effects anymore. I cannot function properly at work. So, I messaged them and told them the side effects that I experience and if I can switch to another kit. I’ve been passed on from provider to provider but no one really could help me.

Then, they offered me this option (screenshot above) instead. Is that worth it? If I ask for a refund, will they even consider refunding me?

At this point, I would just want to stop altogether but I don’t want to be stuck with 4 months worth of unused medication that I spent money on 😢

1 year weight loss, kit 1

I ordered HERS 1 year ago. I lost 7 lbs. from 5/10/25-waiting for my Kit 1 to arrive. I've never posted my statistics before, because I find them embarrassing to have weighed so much. I'm 64, 5'11', SW 352 lbs. CW 224 lbs. I lost the remaining 121 lbs. (128# total) while using HERS, keeping a calorie deficit (approx. 1200 calories), drinking as much water as recommended, and logging everything I ate in the Myfitnesspal app. It keeps me accountable. I've always been overweight. My husband passed away 2 years ago, after a 2-year fight with brain cancer (Glioblastoma). I ate my grief, eating anything that would not bite me back for a year, & really packed on more pounds. I did not start any exercising until Jan 1, 2026, & now I ride my exercise bike 3 times a week for 45-60 mins.

In March 2025 I had asked my Dr. if he would put me on Contrave (that was all my ins. would pay), but he had no experience with it, & wasn't comfortable with me being on it. So I found HERS online, which is very close to the same as Contrave. At my last checkups, my Dr could not believe the progress, and is a believer in HERS now. Sadly, since they no longer have the Kits 1-6, it's a moot point.

Since I live alone now, I eat healthy and do not keep tempting treats, only healthy. I'm plateauing & the food noise is back. But I am very happy with how HERS helped me. I hope this might help someone if they might be trying to decide to try a weight loss program. I was that person for a few months myself, but I am so glad I took the chance & I would 1000% do it again!

delayed bupropion anxiety

Has anyone experienced delayed side effects from bupropion? I have been on Kit 3 for 4 months and have not experienced the anxiety side effects, and this week, I have all of a sudden experienced insane anxiety. Like, panic attack on work calls where I have lost my breath and haven't been able to speak... This has happened to me in years, and all I can think of is it being the bupropion. The only thing I have changed is starting to take my allergy meds because it's spring allergy season. Messaged the care team, but no response.
