So recently I've been looking at a Laptop or an iPad for college but i just cant decide on what is better, id love to have a MacBook since ive always dreamed of one but i can only afford a refurbished M1 from 2020, in comparison i can get an Ipad air M2 2024 for around the same price if not cheaper, both refurbished since i cant afford apple pricing even with a student discount.

In college I'm hoping to be taking Drama Technology and IT so I don't know what would be better since i know that MacBook's are better for writing and typing whilst iPad are more for note taking and such, also i have a desktop computer at home so would a MacBook be necessary? i just need help or advice at this point anything would help, thank you all

I’m also scared for the MacBook as it’s old and will only be updated for another 2 or 3 years.
