No one I’m attracted to likes me

I get flirted with constantly but never by people I’m actually attracted to/like the personality of/both

I’m not a passive person, I do flirt with people I’m attracted to but it never goes anywhere.

I have been single for ages, and that’s all well and good, but you know those moments when you realise everyone else is in cutesy loving relationships and you’re just there

I cannot wait to leave

I work in a franchise, they do not subscribe to the Starbucks app. Customers come in, shove their app in my face, and I have to explain to 75% of customers that we cannot take it. 50% of those are hostile. Most of the rest make a joke like *it’s like if Costa didn’t take the Costa app* fuck off.

I work in a train station. The customers are mainly aggressive assholes who are fed up because they left their house too late and now have missed a train. Or their train is cancelled/delayed. There’s most of the time immediate hostility from customers. Some people join a queue with two minutes to spare, and expect you to make coffees in one second when they get to the front of the line.

I work in an old building. Nothing works, everything is constantly breaking, we can’t serve Americanos, teas, or hot chocolates because of this. Again, more aggression from customers. We have a sign saying we cannot serve these but can serve other hot drinks.

Can I have an Americano?
How can you make other drinks but not these ones?
Can you do a latte?
I saw the sign, but can you do me a breakfast tea?

There’s a leak in the back, the AC doesn’t work, I’m getting heat rashes and migraines every shift. It exhausts me and is ruining my mental.

Store management sucks. I have mentioned a million times I prefer mornings because I have busy evenings. Most people hate mornings. Yet I’m still put on evenings. The other day I had to throw 47 croissants because the manager ordered too much.

I am the only one who has been properly trained as a barista. This has lead to me training everyone else, who comes in with no experience when I have three years, with no additional pay to reflect it. People are continually making mistakes and not following simple instructions. If you’re not served by me, you’re not getting your moneys worth for your £6\^ coffee. It’s too much to be paying for mediocrity.

There’s been racist comments by upper management such as ‘hire minorities because they will listen and put up with more’ to hiring managers.

There are a million other problems.

The turnover is insane. The job market is insane. I can’t leave because there’s no jobs, I’d accept anything else, AAAA

My friends did nothing for my birthday

Most don’t host big parties or anything like that, but I always make sure to give a little gift to people on their birthdays. And I know friendships aren’t transactional, but for one of them I spent their entire themed huge birthday party photographing the entire event for free, the pictures were incredible, and got her a huge present as it was a big birthday. This birthday of mine was also that same big birthday number

None of them even messaged me happy birthday on the day. I had to passively remind them in conversation it happened, and I got a belated happy birthday, one, two, four days, a week after.

Am I wrong to be upset? It feels weird saying I want something in return for all I’ve done for them
