Discount for EVO attendees at Pink Gorilla Games.

Went to Pink Gorilla Games yesterday and they had a discount with an EVO badge. The prices were already less than places like Gamestop so the extra discount was amazing. They had some cool stuff in I didn't grab. Think I saw Killer Instinct for snes for 20 and King of Fighters on PS Vita was 40ish pretty sure. Sorry I should have taken more pictures. 10 minutes from the convention center with an uber. Go get yourself some goodies!

Migrating from MtG based on your recommendations

Just picked up Riftbound, Digimon, and Flesh and Blood.
What should I know about these games?
Thoughts on the starter stuff I picked?
The wife and I are going to try them out soon.

I couldn’t find Sorcery or Star Wars in my area but I’ll keep looking. Though I did see Gundam I’m not familiar with the series.
Disney isn’t my thing so I’ll pass on Lorcana.

Thanks again for all your help. After 20+ years of magic I really appreciate your suggestions. I’m excited to try something new.

After 20+ years I’m done with MtG. What’s next?

I have been playing this game since I was 9 years old. My friend and I would print off cards in black and white, because color was expensive, and color them ourselves with pencils and crayons. I met my now wife of 6 years because I was playing this weird game with such enthusiasm and passion she had to come ask what it was. With all that said the insistence on using AI art, the refusal to allow unions, and the Fortnite effect have finally pushed me away.

So now what? I’ve got the “game sense” of 20 years of playing and strategizing. Do all this years of skill development go away? It feels so strange and bittersweet to be really good at something that you choose to quit doing? Sorry for the ramble just very sad at the outcome.

So what games to you suggest?

  1. Real art
  2. Has SOME player base
  3. No scalper hellscape
  4. Fun and strategic

Thank you in advance.

“New” to the hobby after 15 years.

What is your best tips for finding good stuff? My old school thought process says Facebook marketplace, yard sales, estate sales, Craigslist, flea markets and the such. Is there stuff I don’t know? Like apps or websites worth looking into? Any old school tricks that still work? Thank you for your time in advance. I am working on an Xbox 360 collection as it seems accessible,
