Starting a new project (also seed advice)

Hey guys, I’ve posted about my residential yard a couple of times before, but I recently got a great opportunity to move onto a 4.5 acre property out away from the city. Between controlling the erosion, tending to the pond, and bringing in native plants (including at least 1.5 acres of contiguous prairie), plus hoping to start my own little native nursery on the property, I’m in great need of seeds and lots of them. Just to get the project started I’m looking at around two grand.
Anyway, I’ve seen people give away free seeds every now and then on here or if anyone knows where I can get seeds, plants, or funding for this, please reach out. I’ve already called my county and state the county said there are no grants or assistance programs at the moment, and the state never called me back. (7b outside OKC)

Virtual machines

So for the last five months, I’ve discovered that I might have a slight addiction to pinball learning different games and their internal components. This has led me to want one for my home, since I live a bit away from an arcade and can’t go very often. But between how expensive they are and the stories I’ve heard, it almost sounds like owning a boat… constant upkeep. Then I found out about virtual machines. My concern is that they won’t give me the same experience I’ve grown to really appreciate. So I’m looking for advice and anyone’s experiences with them.

Appreciation post for my yard

The other day I had posted talking about my current challenges with my side yard prairie and got a lot of positive feedback about my project so I thought would share some more photos! (Forgot to add OKC 7b)

Trials of my year one prairie OKC 7B

Alrighty guys, I need some advice. I was in the middle of solarizing my side yard when I got an unexpected opportunity to move. Sadly, I panicked, but the move didn’t go through. Now I’m stuck with a half done project. As you can see, the Bermuda grass came back full force. I’ve tried pulling some of it, but it has an ungodly vigor. My current plan since there are lots of plants and seeds already in the soil is to lay cardboard and mulch heavily over the bare spots while continuing to pull the grass. I’m hoping this will give the desirable plants enough time to grow and start shading the ground over the years. I’m hoping there might be something I can do for a short term ease of mind/reassurance of my mess.
