The future of Carrigtwohill. Where do people see it going?
Carrigtwohill has changed massively from a small village into a fast-growing area with business parks, Fota Zoo/Retail Park close, new housing, schools, sports clubs, shops, pubs, and more.
I’ve actually purchased a home in Carrigtwohill this year, so I’m interested in how locals see the area developing.
With the N25, train line to Cork, major employment nearby, and ongoing development, can people see it becoming similar to Douglas, Carrigaline or Ballincollig in the next 5–10 years?
I understand people will naturally love the area they live in, but honest views on where it’s realistically heading would be great.
Or will it stay more of a commuter town / large village? Would love to hear from locals and those familiar with the area.
