Lanosterol drops for cataracts - US clinical trial begun

There have been discussions on here about eyedrops (Lanosterol) that might reverse cataracts in the future instead of the need for surgery. Work has been done with rats and dogs. Thought I’d share this YT video today about the start of a US clinical trial with Lanosterol, ZOC2017217.

I found ophthalmologist Dr. Marc Shomer’s video informative about the history of results from trials in the past as well as the use and warnings of castor oil. He also lists legit recommendations for protecting your eye sight now.

What will be Jill’s secret if there is one?

I’m thinking based on what Billy said recently about it being something in the past and before Mrs C took over with the company nearly bankrupt and getting a huge cash infusion, it’s going to be the
Investor was Victor, Ashland (who scammed money from that old rich mentor) or Cane’s now dead dad Colin (with Australian mafia money). I think there will a tie to a character we’ve seen. Thoughts?

BMB - how common is this?

My guy just had his BMB today. We have known from more recent past ones after being on Zometa monthy for a year, quarterly for year 2 and then received an annual IV back in November for year 3, that his pelvic bone had definitely strengthened. Drills have been used on last few. It’s been a one try procedure however today they needed to do 3 drills to get I think enough bone to analyze. They said they needed to get a good sample and multiple times might be required. What has been your experience?

Oh Matt, you are so fun to watch!

After Matt arrives to Phyllis’ hotel room and she leaves to get ankle monitor cutters, did you guy notice how Matt sat on the edge of Phyllis’ bed and bounced on it a few times testing out how comfortable it was?!! 🤣 I’ll bet that was a RH acting choice made on his own to bounce. Roger just cracks me up at how relatable he is to the audience. I just love how he delivers his lines. Such a physical actor in so many ways. Such a gem!

ENDURANCE study - Revlimid

Stopping myeloma maintenance after two years shows no survival loss in trial

Saw this MedicalXpress article today on a study of Revlimid on maintenance and how long was beneficial. The lead author, Shaji K. Kumar, MD, is a hematologist at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, and co-chair of the ECOG-ACRIN Myeloma Committee. The Phase 3 study of 516 newly diagnosed patients not undergoing ASCT but going on standard of care of Revlimid (lenilidomide) maintenance had a median follow up of 7 years. The study also compared VRd to KRd for induction of these patients. Details of results of study in article.

"By addressing both questions in a single long-term randomized trial, ENDURANCE provides an evidence base that will continue to inform patient care for years to come," said senior author S. Vincent Rajkumar, MD, a hematologist at Mayo Clinic and chair of the ECOG-ACRIN Myeloma Committee. "I estimate that the results of this trial can reduce Medicare spending by over $1 billion," he added.”

Is Matt going to turn on Phyllis after learning he’s been used by her?

Gotta say I think the chances are good that once Matt’s memories come back and he realizes Phyllis has been using him all this time from the very beginning as her bargaining chip, that he will now have her on his hit list. So far she hasn’t been but I can see her new plotting will place her along side if not top of the Newman family members. She’s pretended to be a friend this whole time and I just see it back firing on her in multiple ways including with Victor and Nick. I think even Sharon will have an issue with her after learning about this.

Y&R mention on Elsbeth

I was a bit surprised to be watching Elsbeth’s episode with Tracey Ullman tonight and this one elderly suspect Elsbeth was questioning mentioned she was going to watch her favorite show “Y&R”! Cracked up laughing.
