Enjoyed seeing Diane (😂😉) on an episode of Seinfeld lol

So it looks like Holden's OUT which is a real loss for the show and for fans. here are the details. He was one of the truly watchable male characters on this show that doesn't feel like nails on a chalkboard every time he's on the screen. Of course, instead of him, we get more drug dealer characters with a storyline going absolutely nowhere except in ridiculous circles over and over.

I guess this cycle will never end but I'm going to say it anyway. I'm so tired of the stereotypical, haphazard writing for Black characters on both Young and the Restless and bold and beautiful. They write these characters to be extremely one-dimensional with weak storylines that are dropped as fast as they appear on the canvas.

We don't have to worry about any of the black characters on these shows being nominated for Emmys because they never get meaningful story lines that would ever even remotely demonstrate their acting capabilities and range.

What's the point in recasting for a character you never fully developed??

They're also never integrated into the stories that matter. There were so many opportunities for Holden to have a real storyline. There was the art thug they thought they accidentally killed with Audra. That was a whole storyline for both him and Audra that would have been GREAT! Then there was the storyline with him and Malcolm. COMPLETE THUD. There was no reason why he wasn't given a job at Newman or even working with Phyllis. We know that Winters is where people go to disappear and retire - at least for the Black characters.

I'm just really tired of the black characters being nothing but temporary and sporadic window dressing. Diversity in stories and characters only matters if they are truly woven into the ongoing fabric.

EVERY Black character on yr including Holden is like a fly on the wall that flits in and out often without reason. They never have sustained storylines that anybody cares about. I know there's some folks who are excited about Vivica Fox and Shemar Moore returning but they didn't really return! They just did extended guest appearances. And Vivica's role even though it's more extended is embarrassingly laughable. Her and Holden as a couple is about as realistic and as watchable as Nikki and Billy as a couple! Don't start babbling about Kyle and Victoria because at least the actress who plays Victoria looks like she could be an attractive cougar! That is NOT the case with Nate and Stephanie.

Anyway, that's my rant. I hope the actor gets a much better landing someplace else where his talent will be appreciated as much as his looks.

For context (if you don't know or remember) Nikki saw Adam kissing Rafe, which Nikki told Victor. However for Adam this was part of a scheme to divert Rafe's attention from looking into his crimes against Ashley.
