You can bring Dru back, but you’ve got to get rid of one of these ladies FOREVER

You can bring Dru back, but you’ve got to get rid of one of these ladies FOREVER

Who are you choosing?

Sharon, for all her faults, has always been my girl. And I surprisingly like her current frenemies relationship with Phyllis, but does that save her?

Victoria is royalty in Genoa City and should be the female lead, but are her storylines that impactful that you remember them a year later? Would she really be missed?

Phyllis is a messy busybody who keeps everyone on their toes. She’s lively, unpredictable, and always the center of attention. But has her star burned out?

Who’d you sacrifice to bring back our girl Druscilla?

*I really wouldn’t bring Dru back. I’m sure her character would be ruined 😆

Seeing double?

Has anyone else noticed that Nikki’s hospital room in Genoa city is identical to the hospital room that Noah was in when he was in LA? I realize they are on a tight budget these days, but couldn’t they have at least changed the curtain, the position of the bed, or the door to enter the room?

Who do you guys think is Billy Abbott best chemistry (Credit to Soap Central)

Easy answer for me: Billy Miller (Billy Abbott) with Amelia Heinlee (Victoria Newman) and Jason Thompson with Gina Toganoni (Phyllis Summers).

Billy Miller and Amelia Heinlee chemistry was just magical. The way those two light up whenever they shared the screen together was just great. And Jason Thompson had instant chemistry with Gina Toganoni version of Phyllis.

It’s getting better…there is hope!

I used to watch in the 80’s but life got busy and I stopped watching. I decided to tune in again 6 years ago and it’s been terrible overall, nothing like the old days. But I stuck with it because I have less to do now and I feel invested in these characters.

The JG era has been awful and it has deservedly been much criticized.

I watch in 2 month increments and I’m right now I’m in the May and June months (almost done with June). I have to say that I am really enjoying it.

Here are some storylines I am enjoying.

Matt Clark’s redemption

Victor and Nikki’s relationship issues and Nikki having to face the reality of Victor’s dark side.

Malcom coming back to the show and his medical storyline as well as Holden being Malcolm’s son

Party Williams coming to town (love Stacey as the actress as she is so good in every scene).

Devon and Abby’s relationship issues and Devon facing his personal demons

I also feel the dialogue is more real than at any other point in the last 6 years.

JG has been terrible and had to go. But things seem to have got better and I’m optimistic for a much better future with the new writer.

What are some of your bright spots in the JG era?

So Y&R fans this is the classic episode where Patty shoots Jack during their marriage on June 24, 1983. Yes, Jack was seeing Diane too.

Also, Diane is in this episode. This was after Patty caught Jack and Diane having an affair and Patty then miscarried her baby with Jack. Then after Patty found out that Jack lied to her during their entire marriage and it was a sham. Also, Diane was married to Paul's best friend Andy Williams at the time as well.

This is the episode where Jack and Patty were divorced in 1984. Patty and Jack were on good terms during this time. This is before Patty moved on to Danny Romanotti.

Anyway guys enjoy. Also, the character in the thumbnail is Diane. Also, what a lot of people don't know is that Diane was married to her first husband Andy Richards Paul's best friend.

As much as I enjoy Stacy Haiduk, the show should get rid of Patty Williams

The version of Patty Williams that we see from today doesn’t feel like the character from 5-10 years ago. And I understand the argument that claims that she was rehabilitated, but I just don’t agree with that excuse. Everything about her has changed.

From her looks (dressing fancy) to her mannerisms, she just doesn’t feel like the exact same character.

Sure, Patty had always had mental issues as she had her battles with Jack Abbott, Sharon Newman, and other characters in the past. But there was once a side of her that felt human. She wasn’t completely crazy like she is today.

And back then, we had characters like Paul Williams, Dylan McAvoy, and other characters within the Williams family that humanized her. They made her feel like there is a part of her that is sane.

Without those characters, Patty just doesn’t work in a way. She has gone completely psychotic and her actions on Friday when she stabbed Jack just shows that there is no redemption for her this time.

She’s gone completely psychotic and I don’t think the writers can go back and fix what they did with the character.

Which is a shame because I like Stacy Haiduk and think that she could’ve been a fun supporting character on the show, but the show failed her.

Josh tried to make Patty Williams a knockoff of Stacy Haiduk other character Kristen DiMera from Days and failed miserably.

I just don’t see her as a long term character. And the show should maybe get rid of the character once she is caught.

If the new Y&R head writer wanted to bring back young characters, how do you think it should be handled?

I just don’t know if the actors who played characters like Moses Winter, Faith Newman, Reed Hellstrom, etc, would return. They have been gone for so long and the show stopped caring for those characters.

I want them back, recast or not.. The show needs to put the YOUNG back in Young and the Restless again.

We need diversity for all types of ages. Elderly, middle aged, young, etc.

The show needs new stories and different characters if this show wants to continue.

lol with this outfit

The silky shirt with the undershirt showing, the chain, the chest hair😂🤣. This is such a horrible look on him.

REED & LUCY

Would that terrify Daniel? Too much age difference?

Reed used to be with Maddie. She and Charlie should be uni grads soon.

We need some youth!!

The whole entire story with Jack and Patty is just a joke

Who’s going to save Jack? The show has no police officers. Characters can no longer pay for their crimes. There is no real consequences. Things are just happening without any rhyme or reason.

If Patty really loved Jack, she wouldn’t have stabbed him and I doubt that she will get punished.

Y&R desperately needs a Chance Chancellor recast!

With all the drama that is happening on Y&R, it makes no sense that Genoa City has no active police or detective.

When I started watching the show back in 2011, I remember that the show used to do a lot of scenes in the police station or court room. But it’s like that doesn’t matter anymore.

Characters can do whatever and face no consequences for their actions.

The show can desperately use a character like Chance Chancellor.

Plus, I made a separate post about the character of Jill. She should be a main character again and there needs to be more connections with her since she is an OG character. All she has is Lauren and Billy.

Vivica A. Fox & Ray Wise Spotting

Came across the 2001 comedy Two Can Play That Game in which Vivica starred. I totally forgot Ray Wise played her boss, Bill. 🙂
