Still no signs of Deacon, Sheila, or any remotely intelligent storylines.
The writing and directing of this show is so astonishingly BAD. It feels like a Tyler Perry crime drama. And that's a real shame because they have all the ingredients they needed to make this a top-notch show: great cast and clearly a decent budget. Instead, it feels like a caricature. The actors have to be laughing at some of the things they're being told to say.
There's very little that is imaginative or unique. At all. It's like a basic cut and paste of scenes and even lines from many other shows in this genre. I know because I've seen many of them! 😂I'm really surprised because I was really looking forward to this based on Courtney Kemp's work on the original Power series. This ain't it. This feels like something a student wrote.
Did somebody tell her she gets extra points for every time they say 🥷🏾🥷🏾🥷🏾?? DRINK every time somebody says nigga SMDH. Nothing tells me that the writing team is LOW QUALITY especially in Black flicks like the unnecessary use of THAT word in a script. That, and the cool soundtracks that are designed to distract viewers from the crappy writing and directing.
So much of this is extremely basic and makes absolutely NO sense.
The beauty of Power was its complexity of the storylines AND the characters. Neither exists in Nemesis. I don't like ANY of the characters here!
All jokes aside, I am really starting to wonder about Bold and the Beautiful 's budget. If they hadn't already been renewed, I would wonder if they were seriously on the bubble. We see the SAME scripts being rinsed and repeated for WEEKS at a time with virtually NO progression of the storylines. This foolishness with Hope is the latest but certainly not the only one especially in the last 12 months. I don't want to see Hope and her childish outbursts anymore. She's too damned old and it makes no sense - even for a soap opera! We don't need to see Daphne looking at pee tests anymore either. Infertility is a real issue but tell a REALISTIC infertility story, NOT just a woman looking at a pee stick! And whatever happened to Deacon and Sheila?? We haven't seen them in over a month?!!
This is all so disjointed that it really seems like they are intentionally tanking the show.
For over TWO nauseating weeks, we have seen Hope running around like a chicken with her head cut off trying to figure out "where she stands" at Forrester. GURL.
What more do they need to say?? Is the girl SLOW?? They have all REPEATEDLY told her NOT NOW.
Meanwhile, Bill and Katie have been BEGGING her to jump ship! Just SIT DOWN and SHUT UP.
I HATE people who victimize themselves OVER AND OVER while trying to blame somebody else.
Hope needs to take several seats. She's a GROWN, middle-aged woman and she needs to learn how to stand on her own two feet. Telling Brooke that she let her down because Brooke didn't jeopardize her relationship with her husband with all the drama that has happened with hope for the future is just immature and selfish. Hope has another viable option and she needs to exercise it.
Two things can be true at one time. Forester is treating Hope for the Future wrong AND Hope needs to grow up and move on.
I absolutely LOVE that body hugging dress that Dylan is wearing! The hair AND the dress are on point. That dress is EXACTLY what I would expect someone her age working at a fashion house to wear. I'm surprised Little Orphan Annie/Electra didn't demand that she go home and change clothes 😅 Brooke better look out!🤣
Why NOW? I don't think Brooke would be pushing for co-CEO at all if it wasn't because she always feels that she has to be above Katie. Since Bill first decided to give Katie her own fashion house, Brooke has been seething because she does not have that SAME amount of power as her sister. Yes, she wants to have say over Hope for the Future as well, but this is REALLY about Katie.
Brooke has certainly earned the co-CEO spot IF it wasn't already being occupied by Steffi. But it is what it is, and she is silly to even have raised that request to Ridge. Ridge on the other hand can triforcate the power structure if he wants to. There is nothing stopping him from giving Brooke a different title but taking some of the authority away from himself and Steffi, including creative decisions. Rightfully, Brooke should have more say so that she does not have to go through Steffi.
I don't use WhatsApp regularly. Just signed up for it because I'm taking a trip and the service people use WhatsApp in the other country. The app is trying to force download of my contacts which is NOT necessary. Is there a way around this?? I've already googled and the bypasses are not working.
Has anyone parked at the DoubleTree hotel for JFK parking? If so, what was your PERSONAL experience? Was it easy getting to the airport? Do they have a regular shuttle to and from the airport? Any security issues at the lot? Any info would be appreciated!
Does anyone know of any HIGHLY reputable parking garages or lots that allow you to self-park near JFK? I do not want valet parking and I'm NOT looking for street parking because I want my car to be there when I get back from the trip!
