I want to go more natural in this tank and im struggling to decide what else to put in here. Mr Pleco is getting huge and I dont want it to be so crowded that he cant get around. But I also know the cichlids would appreciate more hiding spots. Any ideas? Also theyre very big into digging and it makes me nervous when they dig all the way to the bottom glass. Ive had little cave stones and Terra cotta pots, but i want something else... Just dont know what.

Hey I need some help please ... anyone know what these spots are or how to fix them? Mushu is my first flowerhorn. I thought that maybe he scratched himself on something in the tank like the filter intake maybe or the sand... ive also never dealt with anything like ich or parasites and pictures on Google dont look like this... i dont know what to look for?. Does this look like anything anyone has seen? My perimeters are gd ph8 nitrate0 nitrite0 amonia0. Water is cloudy cause I just did a water change. I also do wkly 75% water changes. He eats good and is pooping fine. Noticed these on him n I thought it was a cut so I went to my lfs and purchased some medicine recommended to me for him and dosed the tank per instructions from bottle and the store owner. Melafix is what I dosed the tank with for 5 days- and literally id say like day 3/4/5 the spots have gotten a bit better but not the best and ive noticed another one on him now. I also noticed him acting VERY scared of me since adding the medicine and he usually gulps down all of his food and he kinda started to not eat it right away. Hence why I came home today and did a 75% water change and added my carbon back and cleaned my fine media filter. Im concerned with the behavior change.... he literally is a fish that will follow my hand and finger and let me pet his head and body. Any help is appreciated. Also he is starting to act a bit more like himself since changing the water this morning. But the spots are still there the video is of him right now.

This lil guy has settled in well! So cute, today I was able to touch his head!!! I got him a ball to play with, he hasn't done much with it yet. Yes I kno I have some spots I need to clean the glass... i think hes enjoying the 75g all to himself!

What type of flowerhorn did I buy? Google says it resembles a super red dragon.... any other ideas?
