Are any of you still romantic at heart?

Although I have never dated and have accepted that my love life will always be nonexistent, I still find myself watching romance films, reading romance novels, and listening to love songs. I also love being super affectionate with my pets and friends, so, in an unconventional way, I get to show off some of my romantic attributes platonically. I’ve given up on the idea of experiencing romantic love, but I’m still rooting for fictional characters and finding outlets to express my romantic side, whether it’s through writing, volunteering, or just being emotionally expressive. Are any of you the same way, or do you purposely avoid all forms of romantic media?

My silly collection

I don’t really buy expensive pencils, just random themed ones that I find cute. I really like Tombow, if you couldn’t tell from the photo

Do you guys still put yourself out there, or have you given up?

I hate when men say that women who make the first move automatically have a 90% chance of getting with a guy. That’s just not true at all.

I’ve approached over 18 guys throughout my adult life, and none of them wanted anything to do with me. I even purposely chose guys within my league and I still got rejected by every single one. I’ve even sent likes to men first on Hinge and never heard back from them or got the chance to go on a date with any of the men who purposely matched with me.. I feel like attempting to date is this hard for a reason. Maybe some of us are just meant to be alone?
