M21 from Lucknow, turning 22 next week — looking to make new friends :)

Hey everyone!

I'm 21M from Lucknow, turning 22 next week. Most of my school friends have moved out of Lucknow, and although my college is here, most of my college friends are from outside the city. Since our classes are online right now, I don't really get to meet them either.

So I thought I'd try Reddit and see if I can meet some new people from Lucknow. 😅

I'd love to make some genuine friendships with people around my age or a little older. I'm happy to start by chatting online and getting to know each other. We can talk about college, work, food, movies, games, Lucknow, or just random stuff.

If you're also looking to make some friends, feel free to DM! :)

22M, India — Had a rough day, looking for someone to talk to

Hey everyone :)

I recently had an interview that I prepared pretty seriously for, but unfortunately I didn't make it through the rounds. It honestly hit me a little harder than I expected.

I'm not really looking for advice or sympathy — I'd just like to talk to someone, get my mind off things, and have a nice conversation.

We can talk about pretty much anything — movies, music, work, random thoughts, life, or just silly stuff. If we get along, maybe we can become friends too.

If you're also looking for someone to talk to, feel free to comment or DM. :)

Hi everyone,

I (22M) am in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend (21F), and we’ve been together for 2 years now. I genuinely feel like she’s the best person I’ve ever met. I want to make her feel really special, the kind of feeling where she just wants to hug and kiss me but can’t because of the distance.

I already try my best to appreciate her daily for everything she does. I’ve also gifted her a few small things before like an evil eye bracelet, scrunchies, and a silver chain with a purple heart pendant (her favorite color). But she’s not very materialistic and has asked me not to send more gifts. She says she values my efforts more.

Now I feel like I’ve run out of ideas. I really want to do something meaningful for her in this long distance setup, something that makes her feel deeply loved and special beyond just words or usual gestures.

So I’d really appreciate suggestions, especially from women here. What would make you feel truly special in a long distance relationship?

Thank you :)
