Ebony loves People. Especially People with Shoulders.
She's 3 months old now and I fear the day when she, a BrahmaxMechelner, will become too big to sit on shoulders
First time mother Barbie, a Bantam Cochin with 5 Bantam Cochin babies.
And Rosi, 3rd time Mother, chicks are a mix of my Chickens (Roo is a Bantam Barnevelder, Mothers are Mechelners, Bantam Cochin and Bantam Barnevelder)
I love bantam Cochins. They are sooo cute, goofy and Barbie is a great Mother.
My broody hen is on day 20 of the brood, so it's just Hours till the little ones are here.
I just checked her Water (it's really hot today) and there was one egg out from under her and it seemed that she maybe broke it? It's damaged, but on the butt side of the Chick.
The Chick is chirping and breathing, but there is also some blood? I don't know what to do... Wait if it make it on his own? Try to peel the beak free??
This one is tough for me. I was 99% sure that we have a Rooster situation, but now...

That Cats are liquids is well known, but what to do when the Broody Hen melts while sitting on eggs ? :( /s
My Housemate (who is the Owner of the Property) said something about 5 Chickens, No Roo.
Currently I have 10 Hens (14 where my most) and a Rudi....
And 7 Chicks.
And 11 Eggs under two of the Hens.
"Ok you are only allowed to let them Brood if you get rid of all the Chicks and I am allowed to eat the Roo's"
Then her eight year old fell in love with one of the Chicks.
And I lost two of my Bantam Cochins to a Predator, so I bought new ones in Egg form and they are currently under one of the Broody Hens, with the Intention to keep two Hens from them... (At least ...).
And then, yesterday this little fella from my oldest hatch decided to fly to my shoulder. She's the daughter of my Favorite Hen. I named her Ebony and I don't think I can let her move out.

Some weeks ago I slept with a Dude who stealthed me (took off the Condom without me knowing)
I was always Sex positive, poly and open for Hook ups.
But now... I feel like it changed so much off me. I don't feel like a woman anymore. I feel numb.
I started to wear Bras again, I want to put on make up again (didn't do both for the last 4 years), even with the Guy I have a stable FwB situation (he's been my rock since then, he helped me so much) I can't imagine having sex again.
I didn't catch a disease or got Pregnant, and I filed a report and the Policewoman said I have good chances because he messaged me about it, stating clearly he knows I did not want this and did it nonetheless.
I mean, do I have the right to feel this way? There's much worse Sa, I've lived with a man who hit me and took advantage of me. But this is different, but also altering for me.
But for me, little Frizzle is the most beautiful (and judging) Girl I know !

My Rosi (Brahma) loves chicks. And because of this she tried everything to steal away the Chicks of the other Hen who went broody first and hatched three Babies.
She wasn't interested in brooding herself and I thought : "Get her some day old chickens."
Last year, this worked perfectly fine and she raised 8 happy Chickens.
So I got four Brahma chicks and Rosi hated them. Pecked on them till they screamed (removed them immediately) and waddle off to try to steal again from the other Hen (Chicks and hen are separated, Rosi has no chance to get them).
She still tries like 3-4 times a Day.
So now I have four chicks in a Rabbitcage in my Bathroom, an Angry mother Hen who would like to kill Rosi (maybe I thought about joining her for a second) and Rosi, who is still mad at everyone for not getting the Chicks she wants.
It's 3 weeks old, so yeah I know it's too Early to really tell but these signs...
