What if the Space Race ended in a literal race to the Moon? idk
Basically the lore is;
The saturn v rocket that would be used for Apollo 11 in 1969 catches on fire, explodes, and damages the kennedy space center
Sergei Korolev has a pretty successful surgery and helps the USSR gain a chance at a lunar landing (with a substantial bit of miracle powder)
and both missions just happen to occur a day apart
probably not realistic tbh!!
just an idea i had and also the us still wins this race its just meant to be a "fun" thing that happened in the cold war
also the soyuz 7k is named затмение(zatmeniye) i forgot to put that in :heart:
also ALSO should be april 9th or 10th instead of 11th
