Soooo

Last year results came out August 20. The turkish university placement for turkish students is already released yesterday. There is no reason for them not to release it now. If we don't get it by Friday i actually don't know what i'll do. I have to submit payments for local unis and finalize forms by 25th. I don't understand what's going on with them. The automated response says they're still giving interviews but that doesn't make sense at all. When are they gonna release it for those people if they just took the interview. I hope they will understand how much inconvenience this is causing us. If they at least spoke up and been transparent i feel like people wouldn't complain as much. A simple apology and clarification was enough. This is disappointing.

Hi everyone. I was wondering if yall knew any beginner friendly gyms for women around ayat. i live in ayat tafo and even tho im young im not the most physically active person out there. i would like it if the fees aren't too severe since im a student and will pay by myself. Plus if anyone out there would guide me through the beginner workouts and everything i would really appreciate it (preferably women since im a girl too and i dont wanna risk being around creepy men).

Help a girl out

Hiii so I'm Ethiopian and I have 30k–40k ETB to spend for a new phone. Most good phones here range from 30k–60k or more if you're rich. I own a Samsung Galaxy M11 with 32GB storage and she lasted 5 years, but she's now very laggy and I can't live with this storage no mo'. I'm going to medical school next year and I need a phone that'll last me the whole way. I need recs from you guys. I don't know much about phones and this is the first big girl money I ever got, so I want to make this purchase worth it. Most phones sold here are refurbished and I lowk don't wanna spend anything beyond 40k for a phone. My friends told me the S21+ is a good fit for me or the iPhone 13 (although that's like 60k lol). So I wanna hear your opinions about these phones. I want 256GB and a good camera and... that's it. I'm not too picky. I would like a Samsung phone tho I just can't fall for the iPhone hype considering the absurd price tag here.

Result dates?

I've been told results come by the end of july. Last year in my country it came out end of August. So what will it be this year? Also, how likely are interviewed applicants to be rejected? Some yt creators said being interviewed means you're 90% there which seems a lil unrealistic but i figured it's because they interview only a few people. How likely is an average interviewed applicant to be accepted?

Interview afterthoughts

So, I had my interview on May 19. My major is medicine, focusing on neurosurgery. Being from Ethiopia, I gotta say the exam wasn’t too hard, but the time limit was honestly brutal. I don't get how they thought 75 minutes was enough for 40 math questions, especially since over half of them needed actual calculations and we couldn't use a calculator. The questions were pretty similar to the sample test, but unfortunately, some of the concepts aren't even in the Ethiopian curriculum. Someone there even told me the highest result for Ethiopia last year was like 25/40... which is just wild.

The interview itself wasn’t too bad, but they definitely surprised me with some of the questions. They were oddly major-specific and expected me to know famous people in the field, so I lowkey got performative and told them some random Turkish doctor was my role model. One guy asked if I knew a book about weird medical cases and I didn't, but we still ended up chatting about cases I did know. The lady asked if I knew Dr. Aziz Sancar, and I SWEAR I actually knew him and had even researched him, but I was so nervous I just blanked! I’m still so disappointed about that. They also asked me to introduce Ethiopia, and I tried to be humorous by talking about the food and stuff, but they didn’t seem too amused. They were nice, though. I guess I did my best.

Anyway, I’m really curious, does anyone know how many Ethiopian students applied for medicine this year? I was told they won’t take more than 3 to 4 people for medicine because it’s super competitive. I just want to know my odds, so if any other applicants are out there, please reply!
