Their faces say it all

Watching Cooper “be free”.

Annoyed that Joe felt the need to “inspire” this - but not at all surprised.

Has anyone stopped going to restaurants as much purely because of their tipping options? (I have).

People say -“if you can’t afford the tip, don’t go to the restaurant”….and the tips are now up to 30 ’percent on the standard options! (because the options are so high, and any time I’ve checked after the fact - they are almost always calculated based on the after tax total!).

I have.

As a people pleaser also - I never want to give the “lowest” option (which is now 20 percent at some places). I used to give the highest - now I try to stay on the middle since it’s usually like 22 or 25 percent! What the heck!

One place I used to be a regular at - started adding an automatic 18 percent..,,and then a tip option on top of that! (I inadvertently once tipped 40% on a $350 bill - yes a chunk of it was alcohol…. But since I’ve never been back to that restaurant where I used to be spending twice that a month.).

I may go back this week - just so when they ask me “where have you been” - I may tell them the truth!

But restaurant owners - I am telling you, my theory about the decline is that the change in the POS options had resulted in significantly less customers.

Richmond station - a no tip restaurant - is always packed. (I mean also it’s amazing food).

At my local market - I completely stopped going to a vendor because they have a tip option and it’s already highly priced since it’s out of specialty market.

Y’all ….i may have to learn how to cook!
