Link Cable Tetris Problem

Love the Chromatic, almost perfect device — had to swap out the D-pad because the stock one is pretty bad (i mean impossible to really play the game which came shipped with the Chromatic, so then your forced to buy more. Instead of the mod kit, the longer pin dpad should just come shipped with it).

My partner and I play Tetris multiplayer with the official ModRetro link cable, sitting right next to each other. Every now and then the connection just dies mid-game — one screen shows Game Over out of nowhere, no warning, no obvious reason. Sometimes it runs fine for 25+ minutes, then when it starts dropping it happens multiple times in a row.

Anyone else experiencing this? Is it a known FPGA/firmware issue? Doesn’t feel like a cable or setup problem. Anyone else who tried this?

(Also: please let us disable hard drop in the Menu, And please save the sound-off setting between sessions so that I get whatever option i choose on Startup)

What a game

I really love this game. I think new games become interesting at the point where mechanics are implemented that reflect modern sensibilities. This one is definitely Celeste-inspired, no doubt about it. Funnily enough, the creator of this game is from the German city where I was born — and this is genuinely the first proper new GBC game I’ve played. I really get the impression there’s still incredible potential to be squeezed out of this simple hardware that we love so much. Grateful for any tips on good games from recent years.

Waited a long time and wasn’t sure about it, but I finally pulled the trigger — and honestly it’s better than modded original hardware. Feels amazing in the hand, the sound is incredible, d-pad and buttons feel great.
What really got me: I loaded up Super Mario Land — the game I played to death as a kid — and muscle memory just kicked in immediately. Nearly made it through the whole thing without dying. And that’s actually the best demonstration of how critical latency is in these old games. You can’t see it, but your body feels it. On other devices it just never quite worked — something was always slightly off. Here it clicked instantly.
The screen is also genuinely impressive. So yeah, I hate to admit it, but this thing is great.
Planning to play Tetris against my girlfriend later. Heard there are some issues with save states on flash carts, but that doesn’t bother me much since I’m not really a Pokémon person.
What do you think of it — aside from the
obviously morally rotten CEO. (Totally understand anyone who doesn’t support him.)

Hey, figured there might be some studio owners or yoga teacher trainers here — maybe even some from Germany?

Anyway, ever since the current economic uncertainty and the ongoing conflict, bookings for teacher trainings have been really quiet on my end, and I’m just genuinely curious how things are going for others right now.

I know there are always people for whom business is absolutely booming no matter what — but I’d love to get a broader picture. This community feels like a good place to ask honestly.

How are your TT bookings holding up? 🙏
