I'm a UPSER, but have seen enough I felt the need to say this

I don't intentionally lurk this sub, but the algorithm keeps it in my feed.

I constantly see posts about poor pay, lack of benefits, poor working conditions, management, and ownership. There is no way a part-time package handler at UPS that gets fully paid benefits, should bring in more annually than a full-time FedEx driver. I know what you guys have to go through and it makes me sick knowing most are not treated or compensated fairly.

You guys need to stand together and unionize. Against FedEx, and its contractors. Sure, a lot of contractors are smart and make workers sign non unionizing agreements, but that still does not mean you can't put heat on them for change. But it will require solidarity across the board. The holiday season is soon. There is no better time to put pressure than now. Change can happen quickly if their hand is forced. Not for greed, but to just be paid fairly.

Stop selling your soul to these penny pinchers. Get your fair share and what you are worth.

Sincerely,
A proud teamster.

Got terminated

Just got terminated for the first time, ever, from any job I've ever had. Not a coincidence it's at UPS. Management is saying I no call no showed, which is not the case. Have clear evidence of communication and response.

Those that have gotten terminated, and successfully grieved, how long were you out?

Anyone else's hub going crazy on write-ups and terminations?

North Texas hub. Preload. I've noticed a crazy amount of write-ups the past 60 days. Minor attendance, 2-3 misloads (blamed on methods), stack out (also blaming it on not following methods), etc. Been at this particular hub for multiple years. The environment has become extremely hostile and toxic. Preload manager goes around threatening to fire people because they are stacked out.

I dread coming to work every day, and every minute I am there. It was not always that way. Previous managers made the job much more tolerable, and I felt ok about working a little harder for them because they actually gave a damn about us. Have the other hubs gone downhill as well recently?
