Hungry bears are breaking into Colorado homes as drought dries up their food

https://www.accuweather.com/en/leisure-recreation/hungry-bears-are-breaking-into-colorado-homes-as-drought-dries-up-their-food/1934854

The amount of water available in the region's snowpack fell to record lows in eight Western states, including Colorado and Wyoming, according to a Western Regional Climate Center report. By early June, 75% of the West was experiencing at least moderate drought, while 51% was in severe drought.

Disaster Compilation: China & Nepal Floods - 26 Aug 2026 (NSFW-distressing)

I was reading about glacial collapse probabilities in the mid 90's in IPCC modeling and reports (if we didn't stop or strongly mitigate climate change). I didn't believe I would live long enough to see a major one. They were generally on the 50'ish yr timeline.
Nor did I imagine the overwhelmingly destructive force of these disasters. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Dalaran style exterior- blueprints

Posted this once and for some reason the images didn't post.

Taking the standard BE house and kicking it up a notch. A lot of endeavor crystals, some profession items that are very cheap to have made now and some basic progression/achieve items such as the Sundial and Hunter Statue. Roof looks good with purple or blue- your choice.

Creator/Designer: Moontalan/Elysiann

Blueprint: Cabaret - Dalaran City Exterior

Availability: 90 days

Expiration: Nov. 30, 2026

Blueprint Code: AgR3cmopuEJHt7U59OsctRS4

My 'What's in Your Closet?' contest entry- Garden Gang Hideout

This was a lot of fun. Thanks to Botanicole for the great event and stream.

They are tricksters and thieves in the original Lore for these little guys, according to my great gran. Anything missing; from socks to hand tools- was their fault.

My entry blurb: The Garden Gang hideout.

They steal stuff from all over Azeroth, and beyond, and magically shrink it down to fit their tiny lifestyles of merry mayhem.

--------------

I originally got the idea showing my fiance my ultra refined design technique consisting of pulling random crap from the house bank and throwing it at the wall. Then usually laughing.

That day it was the Dark Portal and a Garden Gnome, right after the gnomes went on the shop. I posted the original here - my door entry to my EU house. House pets opened up new possibilities, like using the flower pet to pull the little cart instead of a cozy plush.

US beef recall: Nearly 30,000 pounds of Argentine beef pulled amid Trump’s import push

Article from April on how China managed the problem- they didn't even allow the beef to be imported due to their stringent food safety testing on imports- before they leave the docks. The chemical in question causes Aplastic Anemia, which is a rare, serious condition where the bone marrow stops making new blood cells.

Strangest house pet discovery

So I got this pet, Drakks, and didn't use it much... it had a little anthropomorphic / uncanny valley vibe. Today I was looking for a pet to use as two 'guards' at the doorway of a temple room where a dragon egg is being magically incubated. I popped him onto one of the plinths and .. wtf? On a plinth he is riding a dragonhawkhippogriffchicken with armor.

Normally, just selected as a battlepet, he is on foot. He falls asleep a LOT and very quickly and when that happens to the mounted ones they just sort of slump over to the side. When roaming- he stays mounted. Oh and he is bigger than my gnome mage.

Anyone else have any weird but cool pet experiences like this with housing?
