I’m trying to force a PAL region game into NTSC. Every time I try to load the original game i can’t get past this screen nothing ever happens. Even though the game plays flawlessly when not using Unirom.
If you are an owner of the later SCPH-1002 unit which has the PU8 motherboard please can you help me ?
I want to own a PSX in this configuration but it’s impossible to know without opening the console what version of MB it has.
The only other way may be this injection mould stamp on the inside of the top of the lid. This stamp could help identify this version of the SCPH-1002 that comes with the better chipset.

Please if you own this model can you share a photo of the stamp that is on your unit.
