So over this dynamic (ep. 5)

I’m getting really tired of how one-sided Louis and Lestat’s relationship feels. I’ve seen people say Lestat doesn’t love Louis or hasn’t shown his love enough this season, but… has Louis really given him much to work with?

Yet here we are again with the same pattern. Despite everything that happened with the book and despite Louis never really apologizing, Lestat is the one who ends up showing up for him. Once again, he’s the one putting Louis first.

I’m honestly tired of seeing Lestat get the short end of the stick in this relationship. It’s way past time for Louis to step up and show Lestat the same level of care, loyalty, and grace that Lestat keeps giving him.

Since they’re apparently together again next episode, I’m really hoping Louis was the one who reached out, apologized for his selfish behavior (which he at least admitted to), and made the effort to repair things. I just want to see some balance for once.

Good grief, this love story can be exhausting. 😂 (I did crack up when Dan called them Travis and Taylor, though. 🤣)

Is Louis shocked that Lestat is actually keeping his distance?

As I’ve been rewatching Episodes 1–3 of TVL, I keep wondering about something.

Louis has always known how deeply Lestat loved him, and we know that because we’ve seen him use that love against Lestat more than once in previous seasons.

So I wonder if it’s actually been a shock to Louis that, so far this season, Lestat has stuck to keeping his distance and not reaching out. I’m wondering if Louis is at all surprised that Lestat has actually managed to “resist” him.

Especially since I believe that Louis set that lawyer meeting up to try and re-establish some kind of a connection to Lestat (and was probably hoping for something to occur between them after the concert) but Lestat was like “nope”.

Afterall, Lestat does describe Louis’ overall perception of him in the book as the “toxic bitch, anxiously attached show pony with a personality disorder.” (Which is so fucked up btw lol).

Did Louis see Lestat’s shenanigans in the elevator?

Did Louis actually see Lestat in the elevator with Baby Jenks and the others? If he did, I’m betting that is why he brought his “esquire” to the lawyer meeting and was so petty.

I’ve seen a lot of discussion about Lestat’s reactions, but I don’t see many people talking about Louis’ mindset. If Louis witnessed that elevator scene, I’m betting his actions at the meeting were partly driven by jealousy, hurt, and a desire to get under Lestat’s skin.

I don’t want to hear anyone ever say (or imply) that Louis ain’t just as crazy and obsessed with Lestat as Lestat has been with him.
